Hello! So I had a consultation yesterday and was recommended by one dr to have a 3 mm silicone implant. He did mention the possibility of the implant stretching the inner corners of one's eyes and making the eyes look closer together as a result. I'm worried since my eyes are pretty close together as it is!

Have any of you noticed your eye shape change or your eyes look closer together after having a nose implant put in....?

Im interested in this too. I just had my primary rhino done two days ago and I feel my ryes pulling in together. Its good for me since my eyes are quite far apart.

How many mm did you get for your implant?

My dr told me skin should eventually stretch back to normal as time goes on, but another dr advised me against an implant because my eyes are already fairly close together... so I'm unsure whether the effect is permanent or not!

So did your eyeshape change, like eyelid fold becoming more parallel etc ?

I would say that your eyes seem closer not because they actually are but because the implant gave dimension to your face. your eyes don't move closer (like a nose implant can't make your eye sockets move) but it's just a visual thing.

second this. it's just an optical illusion.

I mean does it stretch one's eyelid inwards? Like how ur eye shape changes when u pull the skin of ur nose high.. Some surgeon say it mmimics the effect of eepicanthoplasty

From what I gather it'sjust a temporary thing but it'sgood to hear itfrom people who had actually experience it..

again.. it's an OPTICAL ILLUSION. it does not have any physical change...

Mimicking effects of epi = some people do epi because their eyes are too far apart. The optical illusion that comes with a nose job makes your eyes appear closer.
