k-couture Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 It shrinks definitely. In march I did the omega lift and my omega lift was done unconventionally. I didn't want the slanty eye effect at all so I told the surgeon to pull the tissues horizontally rather than diagonally upwards. The point was to correct my naso folds. In doing so I knew it would make my nose flare out a little more because of the directional pull. So i requested added tip projection to offset the widening effect from the lift. My tip was quite lengthy and projected and mildly droopy (collumela lengthening swelling) after the surgery because I used 2 forms of extension, shield graft plus collumela lowering with alloderm to achieve the 3 point ratio. I'm now 3 months post op and with residual swelling going down gradually and resorption my projection has minimized and droopiness gone. I actually prefer a super long and pointy tip to be honest but its inevitable because the immediate effect was due to swelling and resorption had yet to kick in. So don't worry ure tip will shrink to a certain extent. My rhino i did in los angeles years ago shrunk too. When the cartilage was removed i could tell how much everything had resorped because they placed the removed implant in the surgical tray for me to see. That surgery in la was a full autologous rhino.
wishingstar Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Whew thanks for the info, KCouture. I was panicking this morning after looking in the mirror and was wondering if i should ask to gt the septal extension graft removed / reversed! Glad to hear yours shrank AND got less droopy
k-couture Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 no don't remove it and don't panic. Swelling is normal. My nose after the shield graft and collumela extention was a bit wider too due to swelling. But now its gone back to normal size. Hope you heal fast!
popcorndreams Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Did you use diced cartilage/fat in your bridge again? I remember reading that it had completely absorbed for you and I wanted to get this method.
bunii Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Hi Wishingstar, Hope you've nicely recovered by now. Just wondering whether you could share with us the update from your PRP fat graft? Could you please advise what the survival rate for the fat was? thank you!
assy Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Oh my god thank you for this! I’m struggling with these dents after fat grafting to forehead and am so worried they are permanent. I’ll Try Botox . Thank you
