Hello all.
Update from my side. I had a consultation with a major university hospital in Korea.
I was quoted rates that far exceeded even the US. I know some people had a positive experience at the larger hospitals, but I'm still in disbelief how much they wanted to charge and how little transparency there was in pricing (I know that there is limited transparency in general, but even in the US there is a more upfront culture about it).
Will keep looking for a good place.

Hi there. This is about what I heard. However, all of them were offering some discount if I booked that day (of course! ha ha ha) and it seemed at Grand they were willing to negotiate. However, the manner of the head doctor was dismissive and given their track record (http://businesskorea.co.kr/english/news/industry/15415-questionable-rebuttal-one-top-plastic-surgery-clinics-korea-rebuts-charges), I have doubts about it.

Yes, you should be careful to choose one of top plastic surgery clinics in SK regarding this issue.

I'm hoping to contribute my experience of looking and selecting male liposuction doctors to this form. There are a lot, but I have to say as a foreigner (even with the help of my Korean friends), it is hard to select a doctor (step 1) and not be taken advantage of by the "consultants" (step 2).
One place handed me a sheet of paper telling me that the blood work and preliminary screenings would be 200,000 and then told me that I had to pay 400,000. It's all very murky. :S

How about going consultation with your Korean friend? I think all the clinics are charging foreigners much expensive price.

I wanted to contribute my experience with liposuction on my thighs done at Mega clinic in SK. I had it done in Dec 2015 as a last minute decision during my holiday in Seoul and the surgery was done two days before my flight home. This is NOT advisable, because I didn't do any research nor was I prepared for the surgery, but I was lucky because the results were fantastic.

I've always had big thighs that would rub against each other, no matter how much weight I lost. I hated my legs with a passion and decided at the last moment in Seoul to go ahead with the surgery. As I recall, I paid 8 million won for it.

The doctor, forgot his name, was very aggressive with my lipo. I was in so much pain, I think it was the worst pain of my life. I bruised very badly on my legs, couldn't walk for two weeks and had to use a wheelchair for that period of time. I had to do physiotherapy every day for a month in my home country to reduce the hematoma. I started walking normally after a month.

My thighs reduced dramatically in size though, I was told that about 3kg of fats were removed. My results are perfect and I love them, they turned out better than expected and I do not regret the pain I went through for that one month. I would do it all again. No unevenness or lumping, just slim shapely legs like what I always wanted.

Hi Peonyandi,
Oh wow thanks for the review! I just found mega through this forum, i have never the name before. How long did you stay in seoul after your lipo? Did mega provide you with lodging facilities and how was their post-op?
Thank you!

I stayed in Seoul for two days after the lipo before flying home. No, Mega did not provide any lodging facilities and their post-op only consisted of removal of bandages the next day. I had to remove the stitches in my home country by another surgeon. The experience in Mega felt really like a cookie cutter factory, barely any post-op follow up or care but thank God the results were great.
