Is the question for me? I didnt choose them was mainly cos I dont like the b/a pics Alice (the eng consultant) showed me. I asked her for pics of highest crease that they did but all I've seen are tapered or a low in/out style which is not what I want. Nothing wrong with that style, just not the look I want cos initially I alrd have tapered lids.

And also I dont really feel welcome the moment I step in, Might be because I went in near their closing time (theres noone else besides me) and when I told them I booked appointment they all looked confused and said I didnt. But let me see dr.Kwon as soon as I said I booked thru Alice.

Dr.Kwon seemed very tired answering my questions and when he touched my face there's a strong cigarette smell and he keeps sighing so I dont know what I did wrong lol. He suggested I do his magic epi with ptosis and des. Then i was quickly ushered to the consultant's room to discuss price, again I asked if I can achieve the high parallel or in-out crease so she quickly went out to call up Dr.Kwon to double check but they both speak in Korean and keep laughing abt something I said...made me feel uncomfortable actually.

I'm sure he is a skilled dr and Alice is actually quite friendly too but I just dont have good chemistry with them.

Thanks for sharing your experience, curiouscat. I read he is a very good with eyes so was a bit curious. I agree he does seem to have one particular style he does based on all the pictures on his website. And aww I'm sorry they made you feel so uncomfortable.

Hello everyone,

Sorry to revive this thread but smitten_kitten and curiouscat24 both have me intrigued with MVP and I am looking to go to a consultation with them at the end of June of this year. I've read a bunch of threads from this forum and I keep seeing that people mention "kakao groups", but how and which one do I join?
Also, for those of you that know - when you go to the consultation, they tell you the price and everything and then do you pay then and there? I can tell them that I want to seek other surgeons at different clinics first right? Sorry I'm so noob >_< !!!

Good timing Cookie! I rarely check purseforums now but updating my photos is still on my list of things to do

RE Kakao Groups: you make the group yourself or find someone with an existing group who will add you. Although I had a kakao group running for 2015 june till 2015 nov it is now closed as most people in the group have had their surgery. I can tell you now there is a HUGE kakao group floating around but I cant add you to it as I have left the group myself - if you find your way there, PLEASE be warned that there are many insecurities waiting to find a new home in your head. Many of those there are PS junkies or those seeking perfection or those who cannot learn how to love themselves. It's very easy to be swallowed in critical judgement for others but also yourself while you're in there. The point of a KAKAO GROUP is to find SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, and a place to ask questions. If you cannot find a kakao group that can provide this, then start your own. How? Just ask people to PM you to join your group  Up to this date, I still have people PMing me their personal questions on kakao.

RE CONSULTS: the truth is, IT IS GOOD FOR YOU to do many consults and find a surgeon that understands what you are after while BEING REALISTIC about what he can achieve given the eyes/face you have. Although I have had an AWESOME experience at MVP, I still tell others to shop around (I am pretty confident about MVP's results as I now PERSONALLY know 5 clients who have been there and have had successful surgery including myself and my sister!). This is what Ellen, their consultant also told me on the first day I met her, "go shop around, you'll come back" haha.. I honestly didn't think I would!
So yes, just go to MVP, do your consult, get a price for your surgery, tell them if you are interested and you need to think it over and you will be in touch if you choose them.
 You will find that unlike many other clinics, they won't pressure you into leaving a deposit or ring you later in the day to pressure you into leaving a deposit. Don't go with a clinic that makes you feel uncomfortable.
The clinic you choose should inspire 100% confidence in you. Do not rush your decision. IT IS YOUR FACE! If you are short for time, then short list 3 surgeons and I would make one of them Dr. Seo from MVP

Hope this helps.

My blog is still running. The address is in my signature below my post. I am still very happy with my eyes and nose. I'm so happy I don't have a wonky face any more. I will (eventually) post new photos and make a note here when I do.

BIG love to everyone who is just nervous about going. That's NORMAL!

Hello. I'm planning on going to Korea for revisional DES (2nd revision, 3rd surgery total including primary). Smitten_kitten & curiouscat24 you have me interested in MVP clinic now. It's really important that I find the right doctor because I want this to be my last eyelid surgery. Is Dr. Seo a specialist in revision surgery? I see on the website that Dr. Hyun is listed as blepharoplasty revision specialist and Dr. Seo more for ptosis. Has anyone met with Dr. Hyun or had surgery done by him? Not sure who I would need to see. Thoughts?

Both curiouscat and I had Dr. Seo. We can really only speak for Dr. Seo since he has operated on us (including my sister, and 2 others I know of). I've met both doctors and Dr. Seo is more soft spoken but other than that they are both friendly and I can't speak much else for differences. I wrote alot about Dr. Seo on deskorea.blogspot.com.au and what he was like with me during surgery.

gossh i need to update the photos! I dont wear as much make up any more.. in fact most days i dont wear any make up anymore haha!

What type of revision do you need? ptosis correction (like in my old pre-op photos)? or do you need to change the shape? b.plasty really just means "upper eyelid" revision and ptosis is a part of b.plasty revision - maybe Dr. Seo is more specialised? You'll have to ask Ellen.

Hello,
Thanks a lot for sharing so much and in detail, it really helps)
Could you tell me about the epicanthoplasty procedure? Was it magic epi you had with scar being "inside"? Did your scar showed or it healed pretty fast?
Also I don't have a big space between my eyes so I need very minor epi, is dr.Seo able to make that (having in mind your and your friends' experience)?
And is there any scar from incisional procedure?

Sorry for so many questions)

I just did my rhinoplasty at MVP. Echoing what Kitten has said before, Ellen is great.

Also: if you speak Chinese, don't. Just don't. The Chinese consultants were very pushy and very rude. Just go with English. Ellen and the other English-speaking consultant were nice.

My epi procedure was just called "epi" - there was no magic or alternative method offered to me. Post op I could see stitches on the outside of my epi, and it was a little pink after stitches were out but it didn't last long. All my procedures at MVP healed miraculously fast, probably because I was eating extremely well and also walking a lot too. If you have issues with swelling, talk to them and they will be willing to give you an IV drip to help with your excessive swelling.

If your space between your eyes are not big then maybe you DON'T even need epi. My sister has a beautiful and natural epi shape and clinics like Teuim gave her a cookie cutter fix and said she needed epi. They didn't even talk to epi at MVP (or other clinics).
@MVP, I wanted my epi to be cut as much as possible and I was trying to push Dr. Seo to cut extra mm, so he picks up the mirror and pulls my epi skin just slightly more to show me how ugly it was going to be (and that I was wrong to ask for something I was unknowingly going to regret) - your doctor should be able to advise you accordingly!
Dr. Seo gave me an extra 1-2mm for my lateral canthoplasty. I am sure he can do 1mm for your epi but do you really need it?? If your tear ducts are already showing then you probably don't need more.

In all honesty, the incision method is my preferred method. My awesomely awesome friend whom I met over Kakao in Korea had non-incision (method done via threads being held) and she says that she has a bump at one of the knots, and that even though it's called non-incision, of course they have to incise your skin :P Though she had a bad job done at Bano

You can see my pictures I took today on my blog which shows a close up of all the incision places Dr. Seo left. The only scar you can see is a small dark line from my operation in Thailand from a long time ago. The incision marks below my nose for open rhino are all gone too.

Hi Dragonboat! I am so happy to hear you had a good experience at MVP! Did you have Dr. Seo too? Ellen isssssssssssssssss GOD SENT!! I went to Korea only wanting to fix my eyes and now I am loving my new nose. I could never go back to my old one LOL. Even more so, I am loving my Korean eyebrows too!! Ellen said to me, "it's ok if you don't get surgery here (at MVP), but you MUST get your eyebrows done... LOL blunt honesty huh!! LOL

haven't had any lip-experience, though my friend mentioned above from bano had chin fillers done at MVP before she left and was happy with them. You will have to look further into this.

So I am typing in a reply because I have finally updated some photos on my blog as promised to many of you. You can see I am wearing a lot less make up compared to my older blog posts and I have also posted photos without make up to show you that any incision lines are extremely difficult to see/non existent

Thanks for detailed information.
I guess I'll have to decide on the epi after I make consults with doctors to hear out different opinions.
You look great and very natural ;)

Hi Kitten,

Yes, I had Dr. Seo as well. I'm still healing a little so hopefully everything goes well! Do you mind if I post my review on MVP on your thread? Do let me know if I should create a new one instead.
