hey guys,

Just wondering did anyone here have endoscopic browlift before? I am curious about the permanence and significance of the result. I have been checking out B/A pictures and a lot of their brows look unchanged after the surgery.

PS. One of my eyebrow sits higher than the other and the eyelid fold of the lower brow is lower due to excessive skin drooping over it. Lifting that eyebrow with my finger seems to solve both brow and eyelid asymmetry...

Please kindly share ur knowledge..

Yep I had one done back in 2008. I was really young at the time and was told the results would last about 10 years before it would need to be redone. That's probably about right based on what my brows look like now.

My endo lift definitely lifted the height of my brows, which genetically sat quite low (not due to ageing).

The only thing I regret is the scars. They were really painful and kept twinging on and off for years. Even though they are in the hairline, they are quite big. Hair didn't grow back around them properly for about a year (which was quite hard to cover) and even now my hairline is not what it used to be. When I wear my hair back, sometimes I "paint" over my scars with eyebrow gel so they aren't visible and blend into my hair.

Put it this way - your hairdresser will definitely know you got surgery!

That's the only thing I really wish someone would have told me about. I definitely would have had serious thoughts about getting it done if I knew about the scars. The doctors all tell you "they're in the hairline so they're invisible", but that's not entirely true...

I even had scar revision surgery on them to make them smaller, which helped a little (but was so! painful). I was told I'd need a few rounds to make them much smaller but I chickened out after the first round because it hurt so much (and I could hear this horrible scraping sound during the procedure... EWww!!)

HJ88 thanks for such a detailed report. I am no longer interested in doing this although some of the great before and afters still tempt me. I don't really need it but I thought I may as well do it whilst I have my facelift.
The twinging is a turn off but worst than that are the scars which you have to disguise. I have lost about half the hair I used to have and no way Jose!
If you need your eyes lifted, there are doctors in Seoul and USA who just lift under the eyebrows.

Yes, I had an endoscopic brow lift done in the US and I do still have a white line(scar) next to my hairline. Like you, I didn't know about the scar until after the procedure. My bangs hide it now.
In addition, I had numbness over the top of my head for a couple of years. But after the brow lift, I no longer needed upper blepharoplasty.

Now, after 8 years, I think I need upper blepharoplasty and a revision of my lower. After reading so many posts in this forum, I am convinced not to go to Korea. At least here in the US, I feel the surgeons are more careful and I can't even think of recuperating in a foreign country alone. My husband really helped with my last surgery.

From what I have read, including the cost of flying and staying in Korea , it isn't too much more to have the same procedure done in the US.

have you tried any scar removing treatments? I have found that using scar dissolving injections soon post op works really well to first prevent any scars from forming. During my face lift, my surgeon injected me with kenacort i believe was 4-5 days post op then another injection around 7-8 days post op. Then finally another one about 2 weeks post op and i ended up with no scarring.

thank you for the detailed review. Do you mind sharing or PM the name of some plastic surgery clinics that do this in the US? Yes, I agree it costs alot to fly to Korea and recuperate in a foreign country!
