Korean clinics with Caucasians? :/

Recommended Posts

So I've been trying to do my homework for a while now but I very rarely come across any non-Asians who want to or have gotten surgery in Seoul.
Pricewise I would be wayyyy better off to do things in my own country and there are some very good surgeons there too with experience working with Caucasian features.
I love what the Korean doctors are capable of doing though XD Plus they dn't seem to be so stuck up on making it look 'natural', while the doctors at home stare at me like I'm a nutter if I ask for a big change.
Any thoughts on how good Korean surgeons might be with foreign faces? Especially nose, that's very different and a lot of them told me we should shave the bone and then use an implant  wth, that sounds extremely weird and a weaker solution than breaking and reassembling the bone structure which is done at home (+tip plasty and alar reduction ofc)
Any and all thoughts, experiences and/or suggestions appreciated (from foreigners or Asians  )
I want a mid face lift or fat graft, smaller nose and reshaping my eyes (the fatty part above my upper eyelid)

This doesn't make any sense to me; Korean doctors specialize in basically "westernizing" East Asian faces, I don't think I'd go to them for the kind of work you want, especially when it's more expensive. Do you want to be an experiment? =\ If you want to go abroad maybe someplace like Iran would be good since they deal with people with features more similar to yours. Just a thought.

Thanks for the reply  Well, technically I live in Japan so Korea is a lot closer to me than my home country, so with flying home and staying there the costs would probably be close to equal XD
That's kind of what I'm afraid of in Krorea too, really not keen on being a guinea pig :/
As for Iran...I really don't mean to be offensive but other than the fact that I've never ever heard of anything plastic surgery related in connection to it, Iran is a country and in a region that I don't really wanna set foot in :/

Iran has the highest rate of rhinoplasties in the world; plastic surgery is a big deal there, too, which is why I brought it up: http://www.vice.com/read/shes-so-najoor-0000467-v21n10

Anyway, good luck in whatever you decide!

Uhh.. There are plentyyyyy of Caucasians who go for surgeries in Korea. I've seen them with my own eyes and asked at many different clinics too.

Obviously there are more asian clients but the aesthetic differences are not as big as you think. While it is true that many Asians need implants or the bridge height raised, there are many Asians also who have humps and crooked noses to shave down and straighten. Any rhinoplasty specialist will be able to do both successfully.

If you do some research here on TPF you will be able to find caucasian reviewers as well.

I am caucasian:smile:

Oh nice  My problem with Korean surgeons regarding the nose is that they always want to use some kind of implant which in my case is completely out of the question because I get hit in the face a lot. That thing wouldn't last a week XD
Have you had anything done there already by any chance?

I have seen Koreans with "western looking" noses who had rhinoplasty and their results were really dramatic and good  So Korean surgeons should definitely be able to operate on your nose as well. But honestly, plastic surgery in Korea can really be a hit or a miss, so do your research!!
Good luck

I'm Caucasian, and I just got my nose done in Korea. I had a lot of clinics that I consulted with online wanting to put an implant in my nose. I was like wth??? It was exactly opposite of what I was wanting since I had a very high bridge.

Just ignore those kind of comments, the consults just recommend the usual procedures. Once you talk to the doctor, i'm pretty sure he'll recommend you differently. As there was no mention of implant when I spoke with the Dr.

Goodluck on your decision!
