hanohano
That's true, and something to watch out for. I know that it's not always true that you get what you pay for when it comes to Korean PS, b/c some clinics just gouge foreigners. :/ And yes, I'm still not dead set on a clinic. But I do plan to avoid ones that are known for being sued and shoddy work (not going to name names), sketchy/unregistered clinics or clinics that are so huge that they can't really be personal with their patients. I think by doing this I'll get a better result. 🙂 Wouldn't consider going to Thailand for surgery, it's too unpredictable. SK is ahead of most of the world in terms of PS, and while the satisfaction rate isn't 100%, I'd feel better about going somewhere like Banobagi than I would Yanhee or somewhere like this in Thailand. Maybe I'm wrong in my perception ?
orchidca
Hi everyone, I am the same, planning to go close to the end of Feb. And I'd like to have my facelift, eye puffy and fine line underneath the eyes fixed, also if I can have my nose revision at the same time too. I kind of afraid that would be too much in one time. I have been doing some research (on and off) since last year, and hardly to find the people talking about facelift, only one time KCouture mentions at Dream she saw a lady who just have a facelift and she looks like mid 30 why her age was older than that a lot (60 !!!). So, I plan to visit Dream at first, maybe adding Girin and View in the list. If anybody has information relating to my concern, please give some advises. Every inputs would greatly appreciated. x Thanks to all, Orchirdca
hanohano
I'm also considering Girin, since they seem pretty reputable. Do you have their Kakao ?

anthob
I believe that if we all agrreed on one clinic we could get a really good price. They seem to pick prices out of the sky for foreigners! x
jeet-dhindsa
The vast majority of clinics are owned by doctors. ITEM is owned by the doctors for instance, and I would not consider it a large a clinic, more of a mid size one. TL is also owned by the doctors, I know this from working with them and organizing a makeover contest with the hospital, and that was a detailed arrangement we had to process. I go into clinics everyday, and have to pitch my startup, send them invoices, sign contracts, and either myself or our nurse, escort our users, and or watch their surgeries. As a result this has given us a lot of access into knowing how these hospitals are setup. Please be careful about buying into claims you read on forums. I've met people who got botched because they bought into another forumer's sweeping statement they read here, especially from users who were emotionally charged and researching PS way too much in a way that is not normal. I'm helping someone who got botched now who spent a lot of time on these threads, and they actually picked one of the two hospital's the user above recommends as 'self-employed' hospitals. If anyone makes a sweeping statement or paints hospital's with a single brush without having had any procedures there, it's something you need to take with a grain of salt. If anyone claims to be an opinion or thought leader about Korean PS, especially patients or tourists, please keep reservations and listen to what they say with discretion, even from people like me who work in the industry. I've seen a lot from multiple angles, patient, clinic as well as government side, and I don't know everything and I'm learning things every day.
