swallow86 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Hi All, Moving on from surgery and tempted to try the eyebrow embroidery and eyeliner tattoo in Seoul next. Heard that such procedures are also done in hospitals in Seoul and I note that Pitangui and Regen are already including it on their websites. However I can't seem to find much reviews about this procedures online. Wondering if anyone have tried it?
floweryy Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Have you checked out Be & Me clinic? The korean liner is not my cup of tea since i like mine a tad thicker and with a wing but still want to do PMU in Seoul as well since i didnt got touch up when i did my wing liner. There's a clinic in London which makes exceptionally great microblading brows if you happen to be in Europe. I've been on the waiting list for 2months - another 6 months to go lol
jeet-dhindsa Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Have you been to Be & Me and tried them out? I met the folks there at a conference, and saw demos at there booth. I'm curious how others stumbled upon them as they virtually have no Englsh language presence on the web except for a blurb I once wrote about them. Wonjin also offers permenamant makeup as well. In Korea this service is offered by lot of small aesthetician shops. That's where a lot of locals get it done, but by law it's still considered a medical procedure because its tattooing. Tattoo shops are technically illegal in Korea, only doctors are allowed to do tattoos, but it's one of those laws that's loosely enforced.
swallow86 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Hmm...is Be and Me in Seoul? Tried to google it but can't find any information. I should be trying Pitangui. Wondering if anyone have tried it with them?
lavender16 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Don't go to Be and Me as recommended by Jeet. I dropped by to ask how much is semi permanent eyebrow and was told 1m won. I didn't even bother negotiating. Consultant was not nice.
likelotus Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 It's probably better to get permanent makeup done in your home city. If eyebrows are going for 1M won, then the prices are pretty much the same as in the west. You'll need to go back for a touch-up after a month anyways, to get it to the right depth of color since the initial tattooing will fade.
turnerdhr Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 going to Be and Me on 12th Feb. Semi-permanent brows. keep you posted.
turnerdhr Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 ahh.... I'm so happy with the results. Had my eyebrow last done in Japan and I can say the quality here in Seoul is on par or even better. PM me for the Chinese speaking consultant's name if you need and also the registered practitioner who was assigned to me. It's important to choose the right person who will be actually doing the procedure on your brows. Yes, Be&Me can seem intimidating at first as the Managers there don't seem real friendly but judging from their packed appointments from the local men and women, i think they must be pretty popular. I basically insisted on the next available appointment suited to my timing and had it done quickly. I think they're always fully booked so you should take an appointment when you can. Hope this helps...
tyalls Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I did the semi permanent eye liner in Hong Kong I loved it but, I felt the longevity wasn't enough. Does anybody know a different type to have it last longer?
steffie183 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I made an account just to post this. I went to Be & Me last Chuseok to get my eyeliner retouched. I wanted a different style than the place I went to originally did. I talked to them in Korean over KakaoTalk, made an appointment and got a quote about how much it would cost including if they would be able to do this style since no other place I talked to would do it. When I went there, the office looked very clean and nice but there were so MANY people! It looked like a free clinic! Im talking so many people that even though there were multiple sitting areas for different sections, there still were at least 15 people standing around. I couldnt help but think they just wanted to pack in as many people as possible to make as much money as possible. But I thought to myself, Chuseok is this weekend maybe that is why it is so busy. I had another conference about the style I wanted and the worker didnt seem to care about it at all. There were no examples and she didnt seem confident, just told me to tell the technician and it will be done. The style I wanted was full on top, just a little on the bottom outer corners. Every picture they had were full lines. I was worried by this lack of caring but thought to myself, I will see how the technician feels since they will be the one performing the tattoo and if they are confident, I am good. Then there was a snag. The price was DOUBLE what they quoted to me. I understand if I wanted a full upper and lower line it would be that price, but I was asking for just a tiny bit, maybe 25% of the lower line. This is Korea, where they are always making deals and negotiating these prices down. Nope. It was top and bottom, even a little, so it would be full price. Alright, if this was told to me initially, I wouldnt have even come in. I felt a little lied to. Next was the nail in the coffin of why I walked out. They wanted me to pay BEFORE the procedure. Umm .So if it looks horrible I have no way to negotiate with them to fix it? I have had eyeliner tattoos before, eyelash extensions, I go to a dermatologist, had eye repair surgery, etc. I have lived in Korea for 9 years. I have never needed to pay before any procedures! I told them that I had to leave and left. Maybe they do really good tattooing, but from what I saw of the girl who talked to me and how they treated their customers .I was skeptical and not about to pay hundreds of dollars to have a permanent mistake. Last note about their price - They are far more expensive than just about everywhere else. I do recommend BeautyLash in Kangnam, outside of exit 5 of Kangnam station. They do a great job and have more than one style of eyebrow. That is where I went for my eyeliner tattoo and I have just messaged them about my eyebrows. Eyeliner is 150,000, eyebrow is 200,000 but they have 50% off discounts often. I really like the job they did for my eyeliner, very natural. I will be going back to them for another retouch since no one will do the style I wanted anyway. They don't really speak English but that didn't stop them from doing a good job with another foreigner that they blogged about http://blog.naver.com/PostThumbnailView.nhn?blogId=beautylash-korea&logNo=220576009483&categoryNo=7&parentCategoryNo=&from=postList You can make an appointment over Kakaotalk, their ID is beautylash.
nitekoala Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Wow their permanent makeup procedures looks really nice..
steffie183 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Hi! I went back to beauty lash yesterday for a touch up and to get my eyebrows done. They were still great! I just wanted to update you, and I will edit my previous post. It was the old exit 5 (the exits changed when they opened the new red line), now it is between exits 6&7(they face each other). In the Alpha and Haha Bank building. Floor 21, it is the first door in the hallway. You can't miss it. Big green door. They don't speak English so I am going to try to make a (poor)blog post later for helping others. I'll link it when j do. The after care instructions are in Korean as well but those are easy to Google.
steffie183 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Just wanted to update since I went back to Beauty Lash yesterday. The subway exits changed a few years ago due to the new Bundang line. It is now between exits 6&7(they face each other). Alpha/Hana Bank building. Floor 21.
kater1234 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 PM me for info on permanent makeup in Seoul. FYI, eyebrow cost is ALWAYS 150,000 - 300,000 (low end depending on promotions/events. Standard is 250,000). If they quote you more, know that it's because you are a foreigner and they want to take advantage of you. Trust me on this.
