My facelift and anti-aging journey in Seoul

I wanted to share my experience at Aone Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Center in Korea. I'm a 43 year-old female. When I first sought a consult with Dr. Kwon of Aone, I thought I was getting only one or two procedures reduce the signs of aging but he informed me that in order to find the previously youthful face, finding the balance and harmony is essential. I ended up getting a full facelift, forehead lift in addition to the rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty was not essential but I guess I was a little greedy. The cost was 20,000 total, but did not include Preop work up (blood work, EKG, chest X-ray)which was done at another hospital but the cost was nominal. Postop care was 50 dollars a day which included hands on care by the most awesome nurses and nursing aids and you even get overnight companion at your bedside.
Aone picks you up at the airport with a big sign! Lol. Needless to say I was a little embarrassed. I had surgery the day after I arrived after a second consult. Initial consult was done via Skype. The payment is best done via credit card. Pay is upfront.
I have to be honest, the first two days were hell. It is very painful especially the low facelift. I just could not get comfortable and I had severe nausea postoperatively. Swelling is severe and you will probably regret the decision initially but when the pain has subsided and swelling has gone down, you will change your mind quickly. The results are amazing. In the US I was told I was too young for a facelift that I should manage with fillers abs botox but these are only temporary and I was never satisfied not to mention expensive! I tried botox, fillers, sculptra, and the new ulthera. Cost was over 10k or more. To me these were all waste of money. I never saw real results. The doctors in the US told me I was too young for facelift. I had jowls and Mary Antoinette lines and my fave started to look bottom heavy. I feel Korea is much more advanced in plastic surgery. Dr. Kwon is most amazing. He checked on me twice a day to make sure I was doing ok. I think he is very thorough and pays attention to detail. I highly recommend him! I'll post results lately since I'm only few days post op.
