Blacks and plastic surgery

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm a black girl who is fascinated about Korean plastic surgery and would love to do mine there. I feel I have similar features to the Asians. The thing is I haven't seen any black person on this thread talk about their experience or share photos.

If you know anyone, share stories. You don't have to be black to answer. I love you all for your contributions.

Hey, black chick from the states here too...lol.

I'm doing two-jaw surgery and genioplasty in South Korea sometime this year. I'm choosing the Face Dental. I have my before pics and plan to post after pictures on the forum once surgery is complete. I have major face issues that I'm embarrassed about and hoping to get it corrected asap. It'll be one of the best things that ever happened!!

I look forward to seeing others share their photos/experience too.

Hey fellow Black ladies!

I am also looking to do my surgeries in South Korea, which clinics/Dr's have you researched and want to go with?

I'm stuck between Dr Parks/ Oz clinic, Dr Jong/
Lih-Ren Cosmetic Clinic, and Laprin... I don't know which is best?!

P.S I want boobs, calf reduction and lipo... I might also have to do a tummy tuck, but I would rather do lips and skin tightening instead

Do you ladies have any ideas about cost etc?

Much love,
Coco bean

I go on babitalk to find out what locals pay for their surgeries.I was shocked their is a big price difference in price of what korean's pay for example breast implants round silicone is 2.5 million krw to 3.5 million krw.I use Google translate to read the site. btw two korean symbols at the end means million.one symbol means thousand. One person on here went to have a boob job at tl plastic surgery showed the
Ad tl had on babitalk 4million krw for boob job and she got it for 4.5million won.which is not bad Please please you have to remember that their is 500 plastic surgery clinic in gangnam . alot not even discussed on here.and all clinic are competing for your business. no one can tell me that all the clinics are always filled with client busting out the door .so I want to prepare my self on how to price my surgery and not let any clinic "run games " on me

I want to go to thefacedental too I seen some of their b&a pic on their koreansite . I could not read any of the words on their top options bar so I just clicked everyone of them to get to the gallery lol. PS you will have literally about 1and half minutes to see any photos you click on before a full page "you must log in with korean ID or KR ss #" comes up.if you want to go again to get the full minute and half to click on more photos you have to clear out your browser history. Yes it's tedious but the two b&a pics I clicked on was a jaw dropping WOW!!!Literally Two totally different people side by side I knew it was two jaw the patient had. That's what sealed the deal for me with them.

Thank you so much for the info Mdott!

Tbh Im not so surprised we pay double what the locals pay. I will say though, be careful about going to a surgeon that isn't vetted or registered... I really want a good surgeon as I want calf muscle reduction, and that is a very specialist surgery so I want the best surgeon to get the best results. I don't want to go all the way there, and get a botched job just to save some money  so be careful hun! x

Hello!
I'm a Black female from the states as well and am looking into getting my nose done sometime this year!
Ugh I feel like I'm going back and forth between the same clinics trying to pick one!
I've been looking on DocFinder as well just to get their feedback as well as doing my own research on clinics DF doesn't promote to get a gist of prices and ammenities all around.
I like the idea of DocFinder even if the prices are more because everything is scheduled for you and I don't have to worry about getting around and having things translated.
I'm so scared I'm going to have a botched job!!!

I saw some of black girls' before and after pictures at Korean web pages (don't remember where though) so I think it is more important to appeal what your conern is and how you want to improve your look!

I've received 2 quotes for my combined surgeries so far.. one is £9900 this is with a 10% discount (if i pay in cash!) the other was £8600 (might be more depending on how much lipo I want) I'm nervous and very worried about who would be the best choice though, I can only find reviews of these surgeons on this site and I don't know if they are Board Certified.. I really do not want to fly all the way there and end up with a botched body (((
HELP ME PLEASE!

Hi Brobn,
Don't freak out. Just take your time and feel free to ask questions. Ask the consultants what certifications the doctors have that they would recommend for your surgeries. Google the doctors. There is actually a website in Korean that you can use to see that they are board certified there.
I'm here now and about to get my surgeries done in like...1 hour! Lol. I am happy to share to my experience.
But, I can say that so far the one piece of advise that I do have is to choose 2-3 clinics to meet in person. Look at their reviews, their doctors, their before and afters. Then, book a consultation.
I booked 6 clinics to meet with and it was a bad idea as I got too confused!
Oh, and for 3 surgeries I was quoted $8000USD..with free touch up and a few extras thrown in. What procedures are you having done?

Hi Lola Monet, thank you for responding
I wanted the calf muscle reduction surgery, lipo of thighs and breast augmentation.. however if I can't verify that these surgeons are board certified I will look at getting breast augmentation, mini TT and lipo? The calf reduction surgery is what I want the most but it seems very few surgeons can do it?

The only other surgeon I found was Dr Perry Liu in beverly hills, but he charges $9800 for the calf muscle reduction alone :/
I'm not planning to get these surgeries done until December so I have time to research! I have also tried 2 sites that arrange your surgeries for you, neither one has gotten back to me and it's been weeks!

What procedures are you wanting done? and who quoted you $8000 please?

Who's heard of http://www.urbanbeautythailand.com they seem legit no?

When it comes to price one thing you have to bear in mind is that YOU CAN BARGAIN! So you could probably knock off 1mil. Or at least I was able to. And the price you're quoted online is the highest. Think of it like buying a house.
I think my price was also more b/c I saw the head doctor. I was very specific about seeing the doctor who represented the clinic. Only b/c I've read his reviews. Some clinics quoted me less too.
Rhino/ Facial Fat Grafting / Blephplasty
Do you have Kakao? I can message you there with pics of clinics I see advertising calf reduction. I've noticed it a lot on the subway.

Hey black ladies.

I'm brown, but i have a protruding jaw like the African decent.

I'm going to idplasticsurgery and thefacedental for a consultation next month.

Ive been doing 15 years of research and these two clinics are by far the best in meeting my jaw problems. The before/afters are amazing.

Also for nose, there's a black girl on wonjin. Her afters are so natural.

Are you talking about ID hospital (from the youtube videos)? If so, I would avoid at all costs if I were you, MissNewFace. They destroy people's faces from what I've seen. They were my first choice from their advertising on youtube, then I searched them up on the internet and that's when I saw the horror stories and found this website with tons of information. I thank god I seen that before I went any further with them. I know you have been researching for a long time, but I beg you to research further so that way you have no regrets. Don't take this the wrong way just trying to look out for others. I saw this review on RealSelf earlier this month from a woman who went to ID hospital. Her photos were posted with her review and let me just say, I was so sad for her. That hospital needs to be closed down.

If you weren't talking about ID hospital but another hospital with the same name, then I apologize.
