butterfly623 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Hi Ilektra! You didn't wear me out. I appreciate you reading my story and asking. Are your planning to get a facelift? Where do you want to go for facial contouring and why? What happened that made you depressed and wanting to isolate yourself? My facelift was a SMAS lift from Aone. The doctor didn't say how long it would last (I didn't ask) but I'm sure it's different for everyone. In my case, I'm sure it won't last long because of the condition my face was in after all of my attempts to repair the damage from bone reduction. For it to heal to the final result, I'd say it took about 3 months. It's been approximately 5 months now and much of the sagging has returned. It is much better than before albeit I still look and feel weird. I have already had some feeling of tightness and numbness in the lower facial region from the previous procedures so if there are any new neve damages, I don't really notice them. I paid a total of $22K for the facelift, revision rhinoplasty, revision lateral epicanthoplasty, and fat graft. I've gotten fat grafting 3 times to the face and I'll tell you, it's not worth it! It all gets re-absorbed and damages your face more. Hahaha about the doctor's mannerism - yyeah! I complained that I didn't like the result of my rhinoplasty and he got so offended! He said it was done very well and I'm sure he tried very hard (I guess?); but I still hate my nose. Girin had really messed it up already and he was repairing it; but it is still awful.
butterfly623 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I think that the younger you are, the less the sagging will appear. However, I heard, as you grow older, the sagging will be more prevalent. I know that they do bone contouring in the US; it is not done so aggressively as they do in Korea. They chopped off half my face in Korea. I'm sure if I had went to a surgeon in US and wanted to chop off half my face, they wouldn't do it. It does seem as though Korean doctors get away with a lot. I've heard a lot of stories; but I won't let that deter me! I asked ID hospital for my CT scans but they're not sending them to me. I'll do what I can to get them and expose them on every media that I am able to. I'm sorry, I didn't understand the last parts of your comment.
jessicacorbyn Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Yes, I don't want sagging later either. I think the regulations are much more strict in the US and Europe, they should be tighter in Korea because so many people go there for tourism. Good luck ^^ Maybe you could do a blog post? Sorry, what I meant is do I just need to know the name of I want e.g. jaw reduction, or the specific type of medical procedure they do e.g. mandibular angle reduction? (I know different docs have different techniques).
gantz Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Omg butterfly, so much money!! Thanks for answering, it really helped As for my story, I prefer not to talk about it anymore in public because this forum is full of promoters. I can tell you my consultation list and personal thoughts privately only.. For the lift that you asked me, yes, I plan on having one, probably mini lift-macs though, after the facial contouring I will get, because even though I am still young I know I will sag.. Do you have kakao? If yes, please pm it to me, I have some more to ask you if you don't mind, since you already have the knowledge Thanks again!
butterfly623 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I don't think you need to know the terms exactly, but you should know exactly what you want. Is my review on RealSelf a blog post? Do you mean that I should do one here? Maybe, but I feel like most people here don't want to hear a negative story.

jessicacorbyn Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Thanks. I kind of do. I have a very wide face though so I'm not sure about every procedure I want but I know what kind of face I want. My biggest decision is deciding if I want double jaw. I guess you could ^^ It would help a lot of people and others have posted about their negative experiences but of course it is up to you
dorem Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 we know know jaw surgery makes sagging but what about fat grafting and sagging? I have that from a botch fat graft job. Please if anyone is in the same boat kindly share their experience? Would face liposuction to remove the fat make the face not sag anymore?
sayau01 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I can't even put in words of how sorry I feel for you!I guess this is the worst in Korea plastic surgery industry for foreigners that it is impossible to do any justice and they never take responsibility of what they are doing, and this is about every clinic I guess not depending on the experience you had.. Happy or sad anyway they wouldn't care much since you are flying back home anyway. Is it possible to file a sue against ID?Its not the first negative story from them and there should be something that can be done..Anyway I really hope that you won't give up, and you have such a great personality so please cheer up! I am sure that your friends and your family love you and will always support you
microchip Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Ya, I agree with Butterfly that most people here do not want to hear a negative story. Too bad.....because it takes a lot of effort and pain to write such a review. Thank you so much, Butterfly623, for your effort, I appreciate it.
butterfly623 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Thanks so much, dear. Good luck to you, too.
butterfly623 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I have a friend who got a botched jaw contouring and fat grafting ten years ago, here in the U.S. I met her in Korea while getting our facelifts at Aone. Before surgery, her lower face was visibly saggy and skin texture; uneven and bumpy (kind of). After the facelift, it became all smoothed out and she looks really great now. I'm not recommending Aone for your facelift, but I am saying that if you do your homework to find a surgeon that you're comfortable with, you may find success with just a facelift.
dorem Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Did she do mini face lifting? I am worry to do a full facelift in it seems like a big surgery and the scar is long at the side of the ear
butterfly623 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 She got a full facelift. After facelift, you lose your sideburns. She just got a hair graft.
