velesmist Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Hi Madambutterfly, I meant drooping on the side - the outer corners of my eyes. I was surprised because soft tissue stripping was minimal (only one bone cut was made and then arches were pushed in and affixed using plate and screw) and the surgeon assured me that drooping would absolutely not happen. Again, I'm just over two weeks out, so I'm wondering if the drooping - which has gotten a bit better since I last posted - will dissipate once the swelling is completely gone. But I guess drooping due to the excess flesh and loss of bony support would be expected... Out of curiosity, did you do a follow-up procedure(s) to deal with the drooping? If so, what type and did it fix the issue? I'm considering a temple lift. Thanks!

butterfly623 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 The thread lift doesn't work; a facelift is definitely not permanent, especially after jaw reduction. I have had jaw reduction and facial contouring at ID Hospital. I needed a facelift immediately after healing, and six years later, I'm long due for another lift but I can't go through another surgery because I am terrified that another surgery is going to kill me, or worse, I'll survive it but go through another botched situation.
