sssxccc Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I am scheduled for BA surgery and have the option for tear drop or round implants. I wanted a natural look and was advised of tear drops, however, after thinking about things, my husband and I were planning start a family in a year or two. As a result, I had the following questions: 1. Will a tear drop implant tend to look saggier/less full AFTER pregnancy/breast feeding since the skin has stretched and become looser? Will it have less full ness/volume on the top since the tear drop naturally is less full on top? 2. Will having a round implant have MORE fullness on top and below AFTER pregnancy/breast feeding COMPARED to a tear drop? Logically to me this makes sense because the overall shape is the same from top to bottom, so even with sagging at least the top will still have more fullness than it would have compared to a tear drop. Let me know your thoughts?
yam11715 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I think the same as you but I'm not sure.. Can you tell me which clinic you are going and how much you quoted?
sayau01 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Hello! I am almost 2 years post op after BA done in Korea. In Korea a lot of surgeon really push for tear drop implants I guess because there are more expensive. The doctor I chose was honest and said that round implants would be a good option for me. I suggest you to look on some reviews on realself since it did helped me a lot! After BA I dont think that there is a huge difference between tear-drop and round implants. Mine do look very natural and they are 280cc round textured Mentor implants. The doctor suggested textured since there is a lower CC level and I didnt want to fuss abut massaging so decided on textured. However now I am wondering maybe I should have choosen the smooth one Since there is not actual research data that the Capsular contracture level is lower and I think they are move movable and more like real breast while lying down. I dont say that I dont like my breasts, i love them and they are perfect size/shape but you know it is always hard not to think which is better even after you already have them done lol
sayau01 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Oh sorry forgot that you mentioned a question about pregnancy and which is better. Honestly I think it doesnt matter what type of implants you have, anyway there might be sagging in both cases  When I spoke with doctors they usually didn't suggest to do a BA if you are planning a baby in 2-3 years since they said they think its meaningless and it would be better to wait and do the surgery after.. I am actually wondering if the revision is inevitable after pregnancy so it would be great if others with same kind of experience would share their thoughts
dorem Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Do you think it is possible to get the same shape and feel if fat graft is used instead of breast implant. Leakage has always made me afraid of getting implants it can make someone's health so bad. Fat graft on face feels quite hard and lumps like I wonder if on breasts it will be same
gilgracey Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Hi! Do you mind if I ask where you're getting your breast augmentation done? And the price! Im looking to get one too and have no idea where to start! Thank youuu
sayau01 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I did a fat graft two times on forehead and chin and didn't have any lumps, however I made a conclusion that this is meaningless since the fat absorbs so fast, it lasted for me like a month and a half and then it was totally gone. I too before considered the fat graft for breast, but then seen how fast the fat disapeared I changed my mind. I was 34A and wanted a B+ or a C cup and all the doctors told me it is IMPOSSIBLE to achieve it with the fat graft, the maximum were like 50cc which is literally nothing lol. So for me it was pointless because fat graft for breast is around 8$k so first of all: 1. its expensive 2. it will last for maximum 3 months and you need to do 2 times for fat to settle (around 16$k in total) with no guarantee that it won't absorb again. The conclusion for me is that even with risks I would still choose implants, maybe if my breast size would be a C cup and I wouldn;t been so thin then fat graft might be an option.. But its not permanent while the cost is higher than implants which are permanent.
dorem Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 why is the maximum 50cc? Is that the same for everyone because of how much we can safetly take out? You are lucky you have no lumps. I did fat graft to cheeks and have sagging and am starting to notice lumps. My surgeon is pretty terrible. What do you think of using saline implants?
sayau01 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Yes, because my weight is 50 kg so I didnt have much fat to use for breasts And when I did fatgraft they took fat from my tighs and the side effect is that I have stretchmarks so it is another reason I dont want to do fat graft again especially when the results are not lasting long.. Oh so sorry that you are experiencing lumps because of the fat graft, where you did it?I did mine in Korea and its very common surgery there so the surgeons have decent skills. Regarding the saline implants, dont choose it seriously!Try to read some reviews on Realself there are terrible side effects, the capsular contrapture level is so high and they hardly mimic real breasts because they are hard when you touch them. This is an old generation implants and good plastic surgeons dont choose them.
gantz Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Where did you get your fat graft done? Which doctor? What do you plan to do about the lumps? Thanks!
dorem Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 so thankful to you to tell me about saline capsular contract. I always wondering why people would use dangerous silicone over saline implant. Now I know why. I am hope that because I have quite a bit of fat I have enough to give to my breasts. Hoping it will last long haha @lektraT I did my fat graft in Korea with a small clinic that recently became popular. I won't name them yet because I am still waiting for them to respond with solutions on what to do and why I end up sagging and lumpy. For this moment I am getting more upset waiting because before I paid they respond to my questions and give me the time of day but now they take much longer to write back
magdalenabeauty Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I heard that if fat grafting is done properly only 20-30% of fat is absorbed. Doctors also usually inject a bit more than necessary because of absorbtion. If needed they repeat the procedure one more time and add more. I know patients satisfied with the results of fat grafting, but personally I would choose implants.
gantz Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Can you pm me? I have two in my mind that I also want to visit, and I hope one of them is not the one you say..
smokococo Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Hi sssxccc - I'm interested in knowing more about your BA experience, mind adding me on kakao: smokococo. Thanks!
