Hi everyone I will be sharing my experience for my facial contouring with TLPS which took place on 8/3/2016. I did some research on facial contouring and chose to go with TLPS, I saw online(TLPS website) That they had no accidents for facial contouring for the past 16 years and they don't use any shadow doctors. These info are not found on their website anymore I don't know why. So I met my consultant Melissa on the 7/3/2016. Talked to her about my face and she suggested that I should do my cheeks and do a chin implant. Which is what I initially wanted. After talking to melissa for a good 15 minutes or so we moved up and did a 3DCT scan and met Dr.Choi. The doctor suggested that I do cheekbone reduction(Not sure if it's quick zygoma or 3D zygoma) long curved jaw reduction and T osteotomy & sliding genioplasty(move my chin forward to hide my protruding mouth). At that time they have a promotion of 7.77KRW for jaw/cheek/chin surgery. And through the 3DCT scan I noticed that my jaw is pretty uneven so I agreed with his recommendations. I was quoted 8.5mil for the surgeries, did not bargain/negotiate and agreed on the price. Did blood test, heart test and urine test. Melissa told me I had to fast starting from 7AM the next day. So I did. Arrived at the clinic for surgery and waited for abit coz they had to get me to sign some contracts which I did not get to keep. So after the signing of the contracts and the consultants and nurses constant assurance that everything will be ok, went down to basement(their surgery levels) They tied me up and after a while I was put to sleep, next moment I opened my eyes, the surgery was over. Felt super sleepy right after the surgery and I couldn't walk properly so 2 nurses helped me on my feet and got me to the bed on their surgery levels(Same level where I had my surgery) to rest and one of the chinese consultant kept telling me to stay awake as I was really super sleepy and felt like closing my eyes, so after about 15minutes I was wide awake and the chinese consultant brought me up to level6/7/8(I forgot) to rest for the night. I kept coughing and felt like vomiting for 3/4 times. The next day I was discharged and they had a car to send me back to my hotel. Up to this point I was unable to close my mouth and kept drooling(with blood). Melissa told me the first night would be the worst but really the 2nd day was the worst for me. Thought I was gonna die and I texted everyone in my family that I love them and etc..And i cried like a little b1tch from the replies I got from my brother (I feel like a girl now thinking of it. So much drama haha). But really it was really really bad because I couldn't drink water properly and couldn't take the meds, drooled all over the bed sheets of my hotel and used tons of tissue. Was not able to reach melissa as she went to japan and her phone was not working. So the 2nd day was really the WORST for me. But I just kept trying to sleep and come the 3rd day I felt much better, forced the medications down and I really felt alot better throughout the day. So day 3 I had a appointment with TLPS and the car came to fetch me from my hotel again. they removed a layer of the bandage and gave me a removable band to wear. That was all for the appointment and I went back to my hotel on my own. Day 4, Feeling ALOT BETTER. Day 5 too. Went to the grocery store to get some water. And today is day 6. And again, I feel good. Basically from day 3 onwards I felt better everyday. So tomorrow I will be going to TLPS again to remove the bandages. That's all for now and if you guys have any question please feel free to ask me and I will be happy to answer them. I am rotting in my hotel!

Hey, did you miss me? Lol:P I want to ask, why were you quoted higher than the promotional price? Because you had sliding genioplasty instead of t-osteotomy? Actually, did you reduce your chin anyhow?

And why didn't you bargain the price more?

How is your swelling going as well?:biggrin:

Hey! Yea I missed you so much. Yea I think I was quoted higher than the promo price coz I had sliding genioplasty. And yes! They reduced my chin to make it shorter as doctor choi said my face would look long after the cheekbone reduction. I'm so glad you're asking questions as I am picking up on those things I missed out.

Didn't bargain because I was pretty comfortable with the price.

Swelling got alot alot better compared to the first 2 days:smile:

This is really helpful! Did the doctor mention any facial sagging/surgery in the future?

Hallo chewfishoils, thank you for sharing your experience. Hope your recovery go fast . I have some (maybe alot of ) question here.
-did your doctor said that u canot chew for a couple days, weeks or months? (This is the most important thing i need to know)

-where/whats the hotel do you stay?how is the price?do you book the hotel before come to korea?or just walk in?did they provide a microwave? (Because as i know, we only able to eat porridge after facial contour. And its simple to make instant porridge with microwave)

-do you have accompany there?or you just go by yourself?

-in how many days they will remove your stitches?

-is the price inclusive diswelling treatment, medicine, gelpad, pre and post operation examination fee (X-ray and CT scan), post-op treatments fee, anesthesia fee etc?? Or you have to pay more for some treatments?

Hi there! Thank you and please feel free to ask I am happy to share!

My chinese consultant told me it is recommended to not chew anything hard or open my mouth wide for 2months for the best results, also, they gave me some post op care list which also mentions that.

My hotel is Hotel PJ and is located at chungmuro, it was 104SGD per night and I booked 15 nights here which total up to about 1.8kSGD(Including taxes and stuff) I booked in online as it was like $80 cheaper as compared to booking it with the hotel. Unfortunately they do not have a microwave here and I didn't need one. I would suggest instant oat meal(Doesn't taste really good) as instant porridge contains pretty high sodium. OR you can go down to a nearby korean eatery to get some soft tofu stew. Also, if you want to oat meal to taste good, you can bring some maple syrup/honey to add into the oat meal and it would taste good. I ate it plain(Not good)

I came here alone:smile:

By right should be 14 days but melissa told me they usually don't remove the stitches as patients think it's painful and would let it melt by itself.

All is probably included because I wasn't charged for any of the services. Including the pick up and drop off from my hotel:smile: But as for medicine, they don't provide medicine so you can ask them to buy your medicines for you. Mine was about 60k-80k krw

Hi! I did jaw reduction on 11/3/2016 too and honestly when I read through your post, it was what I went through too. I was so emotional and sad during post op day 2 and I felt like dying also because I couldn't sleep the entire 2 nights due to the ache.

However did your lips still swell at day 5? Mine is swelling terribly and I'm wondering isit because I ate Na Myeon and drank sweet drinks? I was craving so badly for real food that on day 3 I went to eat noodles and drank blueberry juice but my lips swelled like a sausage lips now lol.

Your welcome^^ please do alot of research before you do it as it is a huge surgery and you don't want to have revision for it(expensive, torturing and really makes you feel sad when you get a bad surgery. And yea I have read online that pumpkin juice helps with deswelling but I didn't get it. Maybe I'll go get myself some and drink it 2/3 times everyday for the rest of my stay here:smile:. Haven't heard of that chinese medicine, therefore have yet to try it. I would probably just stick for pumpkin juice though:smile:

Hi there! Yea I guess most people will feel what we felt. My lips were like sausage from day 1-3 but now it's gotten much better, the dead skin my lips added to that fat lips look and I peeled it off with my fingers. And I think the Na Myeon(What is that?) might be too salty and as for sweet drinks, I don't really think it would affect your swelling as I have read online to only stay away from salty stuff. And I also had quite a few sweet drinks and don't think it affects the swelling.

At which clinic did you do your jaw reduction? I hope you are fine now by the way

So i just got back from TLPS. 7th day post op. They removed the bandages and cleaned the bandaged area with some wipes. Doctor came in and said: we just have to wait for the swelling to go down. And I asked: Which is how long?? Melissa said 2 weeks. I only have about 1 week left though. Doctor left the room and I asked melissa if i still have to go back(Because I wanna go back and the doctor left so quickly and I wanted to ask questions). Melissa said I don't have to come back and inside I was like:What the fcuk?? She asked if I wanted to go back and I said yes(of course! Wouldn't just pay money, lie down, get cut open, go back and remove the bandage and go back to my country. We not talking about eating macdonalds here lol.) Told her I wanted to go back and asked if i would see the doctor for a review of the surgery, talk to him and take a look at my after surgery CT scan. Was scheduled on saturday and doctor came in again and asked if I am chewing anything, said no and he said something which melissa translated into:You should try to eat something and chew something lightly. They offered me deswelling injection up to butt and I rejected because I have a phobia of getting injection up my butt. Bought a carton of 30 pumpkin juices and melissa gave me 3. So 6 days, 33 pumpkin juices. It'll be my birthday really soon and I hope everything went well so it'll be a good "present" I suppose.

Yeah I had vanilla latte caffe too which made it even worse i guess? because caffeine dehydrates if i'm not wrong. I went to grin for my jaw reduction and i'm still at my post op day 5 haha my lips are still swollen + bottom jaw looks like chipmunk as for now haha. I had rhinoplasty too so it was really terrible ride for the first few days.

Hallo bonfineheart..hope your swelling gone faster and you recovery go fast also. May i know how much you pay for rhinoplasty and jaw reduction?

Is the stitches for jaw and for nose taken in the same day?(14 day?)

How long you have to breathe via your mouth?as i know, if we do those surgery at the same time, the recovery will be worst than we just go on one surgery.is it?

Hello chewfishoils.how r u know?how is the swelling? You right, plastic surgery is not cheap.so we have to concern about our recovery, the review of the doctor and also the result. Have you chew something lightly as your doctor say? Is it good to chew?because you just 8 day post right?
