Clinic recommendations for Rhinoplasty and Facial contouring please!

Also raise my nose tip a bit and make it a little bit shorter
I had a consultation at dream before and they only quoted me 2k5!
I need to make sure the results are nice and natural though

Hello everyone! This is my first thread I have been wanting to do rhinoplasty and facial contouring for about a year now and will be flying to Korea on June 22nd, 2016.

I haven't researched clinics as much as I would have liked too. Now with 6 weeks left before I fly to Korea with my mother, I'm panicking because I'm not sure what clinic I want to go. I am a 17 year old, Caucasian/Chinese female looking to do definite Rhinoplasty, and possible facial contouring, though I would rather do laser sculpting.

I was going to go to Banobagi and have surgery done on June 24th, 2016, but they want a $1,000 deposit, and I'm not sure if I even what to go there. Banobagi is the only clinic I have contacted and researched so far (though I'm trying to avoid Grand and I.D. Clinic)

This whole process has been extremely stressful. As I am not Korean and cannot speak the language, so I'm having a hard time getting in touch with clinics. I was going to use DocFinder, but I heard they inflate prices secretly. I went with my friend for her double eyelid surgery at Braun plastic surgery last year, but that is all the experience with plastic surgery that I've had.

My main question is, has anyone done rhinoplasty at a clinic that they would recommend? Are there any clinics and surgeons in Korea that specialize in rhinoplasty? I am in school most of the year, and cannot go back to Korea until summer 2017 if I choose not to undergo surgery this summer. I would prefer to do it this summer, I just need help asap.

I'm planning on getting revisional eyelid surgery and primary rhino, looking for natural results and not the dramatic kind. I'm already getting nervous breakdowns thinking about it, and it would help to have friend through this ! And could I maybe join your kakaotalk chat? As I mentioned to kktty, no access to PMs yet do you have kakaotalk?

I did my double eyelids about 2 years plus ago, and somehow it still looks puffy and "done", it looks swollen at times and so I feel its too thick? oh and there is scarring too. I'd prefer a natural and thinner lids, and hope I can get that fixed. How about you? What surgery are you looking at?

Hello Seems we have the same problem with our nose having a bump, however, I want my nose bridge to be more straight afterwards then curving. I'll be happy to explain everything on my Kakao! I'd love to heard more about your consultation with Dream. I've heard a lot about them, but I haven't been able to research as I've been very busy with my school exams lately.

I'm very happy to talk to you on KaKao but unfortunately, I use my Kakao for all my friends at school and in Korea, so I don't feel comfortable putting my ID directly on the forum. If you could somehow give me yours through PM, or otherwise, I'll be happy to add you

I wish I could help out! I too have been looking at clinics without a translator, but unless I'm 100% sure of wanting to do a consultation there, I don't want to bother finding a translator ;_;

I know there are probably other threads, but I just wanted to ask everyone personally on this forum, has anyone had personal experience (contacted them/other information heard) with Dream clinic? I've been hearing that they are famous for rhinoplasty, and was thinking about maybe contacting them.

Also, how long does a face-to-face consultation usually take? I forget how long it took for my friend when we went for her DES last year... I have a consultation scheduled with MVP on June 23rd and Top Class on June 24th, both at 11 a.m. I want to plan one or two more consultations with other clinics, but I don't want the times to overlap. EDIT: ONE LAST THING: This may be a stupid question, and forgive me because I'm very ignorant when it comes to surgeries still, but is there a difference between facial contouring and V-line surgery? I was talking to a consultant, and I told her I may not be completely ready for facial contouring yet, but definitely wanted to do something to slim down my facial area. She said I could do V-line surgery, but I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. I'd be happy if someone could clarify this for me.

They have recommended me the long curved method, said nothing about my cheeks (thankgoodness....coz me no want zygo and dont want to be pressured into it), and a few options for my eyes which are exactly what i expected and wanted.
I am juggling my options between IWell and MVP, Iwell replied fast while MVP have yet to reply me.
My worry is that IWell's doc look pretty young? i dont know how experienced he is, so i would love to hear your experience and ofcause results please pretty please!

Hi paperdollie! I'm very sorry but I have chosen to go to Item over iWell because of the same reason; the surgeons look younger than those of other clinics. So I felt that its a safe choice for me to go to Item. But I wish you the best of luck! You still have lots of time until then so that means they'll gain more experience before you come haha!

Hey guys! I've moved my Korea trip to next month, flying from Manila on June 24 (my birthday!) I also chose to go to Item instead of iWell for a rhinoplasty and hopefully facial contouring if my mom allows ))

Reason for changing to next month: I was originally going with my aunt to Seoul on May 23rd, but my parents said it would be better to wait for my mom to come with me because she's a nurse.

Also my kakao is now searchable, I turned that feature off for a while. Sorry about that My username is yxmi!
I can provide babitalk review translations of any clinic you want I can also answer any questions you guys might have and share info I collected. Also I can talk to the clinics in Korean so I can get the local prices of any clinic wanted,I heard the price gap for foreign customers are big.. Just let me know which clinic and what surgery etc !

Hello, it's around 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depend on traffic lol. You can easily take bus number (in Korea they called it limousine) 6009 it's 15,000 won equivalent to $15usd. Once you go out of the airport, if I remember correctly the bus ticket station is at gate 5. You just go outside of the gate and you'll see a counter that sells ticket. And I believe bus stops running around 10pm because last time I got there late around that time and missed the last bus so I have to take the subway back to Sinsa. I don't recommend subway if you have heavy luggage. ahhahaah Or if you want easy way out then you can take a taxi but that's around 80,000 to 90,000 won to get to Gangnam.

I've just turned 18 as well, and it's nice having some support from people in a similar age range. I am interested in double eyelid surgery (the usual combo with epi/lateral/lower) and possibly a rhinoplasty (I think tip and bridge augmentation should be adequate). I will be heading to Seoul this June.

Been researching for about a year now, and my shortlist has changed quite a bit since then. I've narrowed it down to three clinics so far - MVP, Item and TLPS. I won't hesitate to check out more clinics if need be, but i'll see how it goes with them first.
I pretty much have my heart set on MVP ever since reading SmittenKitten's review/thread and I got a very reasonable quote from them. They even offered me a free skin treatment and do permanent eyebrows, which i've also been meaning to try But more importantly I like that they aren't pushy and the doctors seem to be reputable and give nice natural results. Definitely give her blog a read as well (deskorea.blogspot.com), its highly informative and she talks about her experiences with other clinics.

With that being said, I think it's important to get some different opinions from doctors so I am consulting with a few other clinics. Item and TLPS are on my list because they seem to have a good reputation, reasonable quotes, are responsive to emails and I like their B&As. Check out the forum for their threads/reviews by people.

I considered going with DocFinder too since I wanted someone to accompany me throughout the process, but the pros just don't seem to justify the high prices. Seems like they restrict you to certain clinics, and I think I can do my own research to find reputable clinics. Sure they chauffeur you to appointments/do airport pickup, but taxi fares are not that expensive (use Naver maps for taxi estimates) and I think the subway system there is very efficient. Plus they're all in the Gangnam area anyways so it shouldn't be that difficult to get around. Most hospitals have english-speaking staff and you can just prepare your medicine/food beforehand...so what's even the point of going with them?

Banobagi and JW seem to be good clinics but since they heavily market towards foreigners these costs are reflected in the price (i've received a quote from JW, Banobagi hasn't even responded to me). Have you seen what the locals pay for their surgeries? Check out babitalk.com and you'll be amazed. This is also a good way to find local clinics, but again you'll need a translator to consult for most of them. I know that foreigners require more service and simply can't pay local prices, but the inflation is crazy. Moreover paying high prices does not always mean a better doctor.

I've heard that Trend specializes in rhinoplasty and delivers good results (check out lollipop32swiss's review) but no english speaking staff which is a hassle. I also read a good detailed review of Semin Plastic Surgery clinic for a rhinoplasty on Soompi (though a bit outdated) which I might consult at if I need to - maybe you could check that out? Both of these are 'boutique clinics' (which I honestly prefer over large clinics) because there is usually only one doctor who performs very few surgeries a day.

BTW, you mentioned that you have a friend who did DES in Korea - how was her experience at Braun and your impression of it? I'd love to know
And by laser sculpting, do you mean something similar to acculift for facial fat? Just curious about what it is~

I'm also thinking of going to MVP and Item. MVP quoted me a very reasonable price for des. Item was on the higher end. I'm going to Seoul in August. Is there a kakao group for July or August?

Hi Everyone, I just returned from Seoul and had rhinoplasty (in addition to double eyelid) surgery. I'll be posting my full experience with View Clinic soon. It has been 3 weeks since rhinoplasty and it looks very natural and no one at my work noticed hehe.
