d00little Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Hi @maplecandy, Hope your surgery went well. Please update when you get the change. Also, did your friend go with Shimmian or April31?
littlebubba Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 April 31 is one of my favourite hospitals, hope you're doing well. Please share your further experience as I'm very interested. Thanks
maplecandy Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 My rhino went well! My bandages are now off and I'm just waiting for the swelling to go down before I judge the results. I was pretty freaked out about rhino before the surgery too. But it was over so fast--last thing I remember was saying "I don't feel anything" about the anesthesia and the next thing I knew, I was in the recovery room and it was all already over. The recovery period was worse imo, since I was really congested (felt like I had a massive cold), and I was constantly nervous about what my nose would look like. I think what scared me more about rhino was me potentially not liking the results, rather than the pain and/or discomfort. I think the best way to overcome that is to address all your concerns/questions to the surgeon beforehand to get a clear idea of what the surgeon is going to do and making sure the surgeon has your best interests in mind. Thanks!! I'm day 10 post-op and just have a bit of swelling left. My friend also went with April31, she said she'll be posting about her experiences once she can more accurately see her results after the swelling goes down. Thanks! I really like April31 as well, felt like my second home a little bit LOL. I will definitely share more in detail once the swelling subsides ^^
erichyung Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Hi, i see alot of posts on braun but i cant find the website, could anyone show me the url?
popcorndreams Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Who did you consult with at Dream? I'm going this summer and I was wondering if there was a specific consultant I should look for.
d00little Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Hi maplecandy, I was wondering how the recovery was going? Still dealing with swelling? Also, what was your friend's impression of the clinic and Dr.?
missj93 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Hi maplecandy, I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about your rhino at april 31? thanks in advance, I really appreciate your help! I had a primary rhino at JW in may 2016 and I feel like the radix is too high. So I am planning to go back to seoul in Dec 2016 and get it fixed. April 31 is one of my top choices based on the reviews from this forum. Also, one of my friends actually got her nose done there in May ^^ My questions are: 1) Did you feel like Dr. kim communicated with you clearly about what to expect & did he deliver those promised results exactly? For me, I feel like Dr. suh at JW was skilled and talented (as I have no complications post-op) but I feel like he didn't clearly help me understand what the final nose will look like. I showed him a photoshopped pic of what I wanted and he said he could do it, but the final results turned out so much differently 2) Do you think Dr. kim is skilled at tipplasty? would you say it's more round or pointy or he can do both, based on your request? for me, I am pretty happy with the tip currently, it is the bridge that I dislike. So I would prefer Dr. kim not to touch my tip and only change my bridge and implant. But if he thinks he needs to change the tip to make it more harmonized with the new tip, I want to feel confident in his skills to touch my tip. 3) Overall, do you think Dr. kim was able to listen to your concerns & really tried to understand what you wanted? From my consultations for my primary, I felt like some of the doctors looked bored when you were explaining what you wanted. I really emphasize the importance of finding a surgeon who genuinely cares about your concerns & understands what matters most to you (e.g. for me, it's a natural result that preserves the general shape of my nose but also addresses the weaknesses)
