marianaxox Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 And I've had grafts resorb and my nose look almost the same as before so don't worry about that aspect, the tip graft can be removed.
hiyasunshine Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is an update to this thread? Did you end up removing your silicone and graft? I had primary rhino 7 months ago, and I have very thick/oily skin. I am honestly very happy with the result from the front, but my nose just looks way too big from the side view. I have read this could be because I still have swelling since my skin is thick/oily, but honestly, even if it goes down a bit more, it's still way too big from the side. I'm wondering what my best options might be? Is it to just remove the silicone and graft as well? Should I wait even longer before proceeding?
mixxtape Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 OP, this is the link to the Korea Medical Dispute Agency: https://www.k-medi.or.kr/eng/index.do If they botched your surgery, you may be able to make a claim with them.
erichyung Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 It goes down in time, not alot but it'll be lower than now.
aba18 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 So sorry to hear that! My nose was really high at 1.5 months but it went down significantly. I'm more than 1 year post op and can tell you it went down alot..
itsangie123 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Hi did you get tiplasty? If you did, until how long did it stay swollen? I'm waiting for mine to deswell more (I"m post 2 months). If I may ask, how long did it take for you to like your nose?
erichyung Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 if your skin is thick it takes very very long... 8 months down the road and mine still looks huge compared to before
aba18 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I did get tip plasty and to be honest, I liked it right away after surgery because I knew the changes were good. My nose was swollen in the morning but would go away in the afternoon. It's worse when the weather was hot and humid. Most of the swelling subsided after 5 months. My nose looked great at 6 months. If you have thick skin it takes a long time. I thought I did but my doctor said I actually don't and his other patients had thicker skin. After 1 year, I can tell the difference than how it was at 6 months.
sandymaxwell Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Hi, do you mind let me know name of clinic you went to? I got infected rhinoplasty, and interested to have a revision. After that surgery I have breathing issue. I don't want to end up getting infection again. You may pm me. would be very appreciated.
