papermoon12 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 thank you for the helpful info! Does anyone know how to find out if the tax rebate will extended into 2018?
kpsa Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 What you can do is keep an eye out for the new notifications on the visitmedicalkorea website, as any extensions once announced will be posted there. Also I would assume that all clinics that have a license to treat foreigners should be able to provide VAT refund, so that should enlarge the clinics you can visit to around 2000
papermoon12 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Thanks for the website info, I will bookmark that page!
kathy2406 Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Most of the known hospitals/clinics offer tax refund Also, its told that tax refund is to end the end of 2017
komi95 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Thanks for the link @lovelypeach I wanted to know a little more about the refund so I'm glad to find answers here.
ashly117 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Tax refund should be no problem in 2018. I confirmed it with the tax people in Seoul personally.
picturethis Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I'm paying quite a large amount of money for plastic surgery and I got a tax refund from view clinic. Would I be able to get all of the tax refund in cash or is there a limit on what they will pay out in cash? Are there other places besides incheon aiport where I could have the tax refund paid out, so I don't have to deal with this when I'm departing to get back home.
ashly117 Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 @Picturethis, get the correct receipt from View and you can go to a mall (eg: Apgujeong galeria mall) and they can do VAT tax refund there. I believe Malls can refund back to your credit card if you used that like me.
