k-couture Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 hey hey how you been. sorry to hear about your rhino! Did park use silicone the second time around cos i remembered he used diced cartilage and fg the first time? Also the one who is best at incisional eyes is Yoo Won Jae. Close too 100% success rate but expect the surgery to be longer than other surgeons. The reason for the very very low margin of error with him is cos he wont let the patient off until he is satisfied with the result but that also means double the op time lol..... Btw seeing as you did not get the result you want you should perhaps request them to let Dr Jo do your revision this time. If you look on their site, several of the Let Me In candidates on tv were done by him not Park cos they used open rhino. If thats the style u like maybe u should request him but make sure they do not charge you a single cent extra. I recalled they made u pay for seg during the 1st revision which should not have happened.
missj93 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Hi wishingstar, I'm quite interested in Dream for a revision rhino. Just curious, why did you go back both times for revision if they were not able to give you what you wanted the first time? Do you think it's the clinics fault for not clearly trying to understand what you wanted? Did you operate with Dr Park all 3 times, or was it another doctor? Thanks for your response it's very appreciated information!
wishingstar Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Edit: I had originally done a long write-up here, but I figured I'd move it to PM for now. I don't want to say anything too negative until I've had a chance to see how the aftercare and follow-up goes this time around. Just PMed you K Couture! Will post more on this forum with the full story after a few days of recovery.
k-couture Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 lol no worries. ill try to respond to all of it. U wrote me a freaking essay girl lol Btw I cant remember where you wrote it but you mention fg in your nasofolds didnt hold. That areas sucks for fg due to facial muscle movement and it being a skin pocket. I found Restalyn Juverderm to be better for it albeit not lasting long..but neither does fg so meh. Plus theres no risk of migration with it
erichyung Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Remember, natural often means "almost no change", and not "looks fabulous but people don't realise it's fake". Don't want you to pay 10k for a trip and then you go home and everyone is like, oh you look the same.
peach23 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Hi K! Oh I didn't know that dr Jo does rhinoplasty as well ? I thought he is the anti aging only . But then again dr Kim the FC specialist does rhino as well . And looks like many of dream's nurses chose him to do their nose . Are you sure I can consult to Dr Jo for my revision ? And if I may ask how do you know that he does most of the rhinoplasty cases at Let me in ? Thank you K , you are always forever informative and helpful girl ! XOXO Peach
peach23 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Hi missj93 Sorry for my super late respond . To answer your enquiries here are how I feel about my rhinoplasty results with Dr Park 1. I showed him a picture of how I wanted my nose would look prior to my primary surgery , but I did not get what I wanted . I feel that he is a very safe surgeon . He would not mess up with your nose but at the same time if you expect dramatic change , he won't be able to deliver. 2. His usual method of tipplasty is suturing the done and adding a cap graft . But some may get shield graft . Both usually harvested from ear cartilage. His tip shaping is not very defined and sharp. He likes a natural " Unoperated" look. So if you want a sharp projected tip , he won't be able to deliver . This is based on my result and several fellow dream patients who received rhinoplasty from him . Mine was not bulbous, he improved it but not as sharp as I wanted it . Dr Park also likes to place the implant at the height right between your highest double eye lid crease located. Some may find it a bit too high. But I don't have a problem with my radix height . 3. Yes , I met him twice for my revision plan and still not really convinced with his suggested solution for my deviation problem. The only think that holding me back from moving to another surgeon is because he is the only one who will not redo everything. The rest of the surgeons I consulted with wanted replace my SEG with rib Extention graft as I need septoplasty . So my case may not be applicable to yours. If only I can find one I am confident with and would reuse my old SEG , I would have done so ages ago. dr. Park is patient enough in trying to understand what I want for my revision. However he is the type who does not elaborate deeply . You need to ask a lot of questions during your consultations. Have you tried to consult to other surgeons and compare their suggested solutions?
missj93 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Hi Peach, Thanks so much for your response it helps me better narrow down the clinics I want to visit for my revision. I feel like even though the consultation is helpful, it is more helpful to speak to previous patients because they are more truthful than the doctors. So thanks again for taking time to answer my questions!
wishingstar Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Hey Peach! Sorry to hear about your experience - I was / am in a similar boat as you. I just had my 2nd revision (3rd surgery) with Dr. Park after the first 2 nose surgeries (alarplasty, tipplasty with ear cartilage / septal extension graft, 2x bridge augmentation with diced cartilage mixed with fat), with him did not give me the result I wanted (not enough change) and also left me with a hard bump that formed on my nose bridge from the fat / diced cartilage injection that could be seen under the skin. Just had a 3rd surgery with him last week to get the hard bump removed + bridge revised with silicone + additional ear cartilage graft added to the tip + revision alarplasty. I'll report back on the results after healing. Also just sent you a PM with more info. I'm really nervous thus far, though, since the silicone implant he put in seems a few mm off center (it starts too far left between my eyes and is not centered then slants to the right). The bridge height looks pretty good and a bit more defined with the silicone (vs. the diced cartilage / fat injection, which can have unpredictable results and even cause bumps)... not sure if it will go down a bit more. Granted, my face is slightly deviated, but I was always under the impression that the top of the implant should start in the middle between the eyes and not slightly to one side. I'm praying that this is due to uneven swelling, but I'm not sure if the top of the implant where he fixed it under the periosteum will actually move? Hoping for the best! Keep us posted on what you end up deciding re: your revision!
simmufgar Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I really want to message them since they havent replied me back on email. Do you know what baum's kakaotalk ID?
naturallook Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Hi @Peach23. Just wondering if you can provide more info on Dr Paik at 101. Was there a reason you didn't go with 101. He's number on my list so far but haven't booked yet. I'm planning to go in a month... was he all booked up when you went?
miame44 Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 IF you are going to Dream. Dr. Park is really good with nose and none incisional eyelids surgery. I got both done with Dr. park at Dream. Super happy. Especially the healing is very fast. Have to do with his skills.
lanipani Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 If not Dr Park, would you recommend any other doctor at Dream. I still like their ba but not sure who to choose.
lalia2 Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 I am planning to have revision des could u please dm me the price
