Newways, your English is excellent. Hiring an interpreter is expensive and inconvenient. If you really have to communicate in Russian, the clinic I went to, View Clinic, has a Russian website so I assume they have a Russian interpreter.

I'm not promoting them, it just so happens that they're one of the few clinics which has a Russian site.

Thanks :smartass:
I looked at this clinic and this clinic is one of those who do not just sent me the price and really looked at my photos and made personalized recommendations on-line . I liked their attitude . But the clinic is very expensive. I need a 2-jaw, plus I want to dramatically change the shape of the face. As a result, I got a high price. And they are now, unfortunately, not on my list .

Actually i heard from afriend of a friend that they went to cinderalla and werent too happ with the clinic..she didnt even get to meet a doctor, just a translator and coordinator.
she also told me that she felt they were way too pushy and tried to make her use as much money as possible but recomending extra surgery.

its could be jsut her experience but it didnt sound pleasant thats why i havnt considered cinderlla at all. But thanks for the reply !

I think most clinics does that. View Clinic pushed me a bunch of procedures too, everything from paranasal to sub-malar implants, and even otoplasty lol. You just have to be firm and give a simple NO. They will not probe you any further. If they do, then you should look somewhere else.

Why do they do that...
You go in with something simple in mind and you come out with major surgery recommendation...

It's all about the $$$, or rather the ₩₩₩. It's basic sales cross selling tactic. Nothing unethical. It's like you go to the store to buy foundation and you end up getting the powder, the makeup base and that $700 face serum. If you want facial contouring, just do the facial contouring. Don't let the pushy sales tactics get to you.

is it normal for DRs to not show up at the consultation? cz from what ive heard from other people all consultations are done between drs and client

I had facial contouring surgery around 3 years ago in wonjin but I'm not satisfied with the result.
So I have been searching for more information in here for my revision surgery or two jaw surgery.
All in all, I will definitely go to DA for my surgery.

I guess this is your first time in Korea, but don't worry at all. Your English is really enough for comunication.
Independent interpreter?? hhh they also usually in. Its hard to know for sure about he works with clinic or not. Even he works its ok, if he is a good, a really good translator, who could: 1) Translate right, exactly what say a doctor; 2) Responsible, good person (who will really care about you, about result, not just about money).

Grand , Regen , Wonjin - yeah one of the biggest. But size is not the most important. Doctor, his qualification is the most important. Too smal clinics don't recommend, cuz usually small clinics doesn't have a good anesthesiology team.
Don't think its would be helpful >>>> http://www.bbbkorea.org/

I know that, for 2 jaw surgery are famouse 2 docs - Oh Myung Jung and Oh Chang Hyun from Regen and Banobagi clinics. Also Faceline is specializing on this. They have a biggest orthodontic department.

For my case at View Clinic, there is an added layer of consultation. They will get the main consultant to discuss what procedures you plan on doing and at this stage they will try to push you those extra procedures. This is also the time to discuss the final price and any negotiation should be done at this point.

After this, they will bring you to the doctor to discuss in detail about your procedures, your desired outcome, how it will be done and the recovery procedures etc.
