babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I have been out of surgery about 2-3 hours. I did zygoma reduction, jaw, and chin as well as fat graft to everywhere except my chin. I will post here whenever I feel better. Right now I keep falling asleep! Talk to u guys soon~
d00little Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Congrats! Can you tell us what DAPRS was like? They seem to post lots on their Snapchat.
babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 I can't believe how sweet they are! Pre-op to post. I'll be here until probably another 12 hour in recovery room (it's 11pm here) then go to my guesthouse. They have two English speaking ladies and one Chinese speaking lady. It's been about 6hr since I got out and I'm no longer nauseous and able to drink without feeling sick. I thought I might puke about two hrs ago but I just had a huge burp haha! My actual jaw only hurt for an hour right after I woke up from surgery then it stopped. The worst part for now is the throat pain and dryness from anesthesia tube. And my azz from the hard bed and laying elevated. So far so good! I think my wisdom teeth removal was more painful. I'm very glad I didn't combine any surgery with these three procedures. I also got fat graft by the way! I will post here instead of my blog because it's easier platform and I feel so lazy right now. I sleep one hour at a time and wake up for water bc so dry throat. Also for first few hours there's a horrible taste in mouth that seems to come from throat. It tastes like the disinfecting rinse. Yucky! I haven't eaten in 24 hours and that sucks but I don't feel TOO hungry. I HIGHLY recommend bring a travel neck pillow. OK will update tomorrow! Nothing especially happening now
d00little Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Oh right, your the one with Wordpress blog, I was reading that. What's the make up of the patients you see there? Locals, Chinese, Westerners?
babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Hmm, I would say 80% local and several male locals. 20% Chinese. My travel buddy and I and one other guy I overheard are the only English speaking here that I've witnessed. It could be different though at different time and season! Ithink it is off season right now.
d00little Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Thanks. Your responses are so quick it's like chat, lol. Any idea about their dermatology department? I was thinking of going to a skin clinic but I've seen bloggers and Youtubers go to DAPRS for skin treatment also.
babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Sorry I doze off every hour hehe! English consultant lady told me since they are mainly a PS clinic that their dermatology is a little expensive. Patients get cheaper but even then I guess it is not as cheap as others. I guess it is just more convenient.
gantz Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Hi babysnow Hope you are feeling good! When you have the time and energy could please mention the other clinics you visited and why you didn't choose them in then? Also, how was your experience in DA? The consultation with the doctor? Did he suggest more or less procedures than you needed? Then, pricewise? Were you able to bargain? Was the price local or foreigner or something in between? Do you know if they have dissolvable screws as well? Thank you in advance Hope you heal great and love your results!! PS. Could I have a link to your blog?
babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Thank u!!! My friend and I was chosen as models and offered free surgery through their event. And they are one of the best FC clinics with a very famous FC Doctor (he's on many tv shows here.) So of course we chose to come here Other clinics I considered was MVP and ITEM. I will still consider them for future since I want to do revision rhinoplasty and DES sometime eventually. I could have done that here but honestly did not want to do too many with FC surgeries. It seems too difficult to have whole face in recovery at once. I'm glad I did just FC alone. The doctor is very intimidating haha! The consultants seem very respectful of him. He smiled at me a lot though!! He's very handsome and charismatic He suggested I do less and that he cannot achieve the look I wanted because it will not be good or natural. I was only a tiny bit disappointed but I trust what he decided for me. I didn't know this until consultation but I have a protruding lower jaw but very minimal. He did not recommend I do harder surgery (2 jaw) because it would be a difficult recovery. So he is definitely not pushy at all Hmm I'm not sure what kind of screws they have or what they put in my cheeks. I will ask when I see doctor again! I'm not too concerned hehe No problem!!! I'm gonna be bored and have nothing to do but play Internet and stuff haha. I will send to you my blog once I update it. There's nothing there about my experience right now but once I post pictures I'll send you! ^_^
babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Thankfully I chose a recovery guesthouse that has inclining bed. I just got my drains out and got one stitch on each side. That wasn't as bad as I expected. I am taking everything very relax and not getting excited or nervous. Just calming myself down helps with everything that's happening I feel so much better without drains hehe. I will get an anti inflammation shot soon. Thankfully all my shots go through the IV which is awesome! No needles yay!
babysnow95 Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Back at the guesthouse now. Feel so much better too with all IV and drains out. The anti swelling shot hurt!! It was thru IV but when it goes into arm it hurts I'm slightly bruising right now under my eyes where I did fat grafting. My friend is having very hard time because she did jaw as well as other procedures. I think it's better to do any FC alone because we both are feeling very nauseous and sick. My FC is honestly already feel better, I'm just swelling and stiff now. I can't imagine how much harder it would be if I had gotten eyes and nose and breast too though, so I don't recommend. I'm still worried of being nauseous but want to have some yogurt to help my tummy. I'm helping my friend as best as I can but I threw up a little when I finish helping her ^.^; I'm ok now though! Feel sleepy again... I will gargle and nap, then Yogurt and medicine then I will gargle and nap again!
babysnow95 Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 21 hour post op! Swelling going up up up ^^; but recoveryhouse owner came by to clean and she said that I'm pretty good compared to the others she has seen! My face feels like balloon haha. Ok I'm going to try to 'eat' so I can take my medicine. I will drink yogurt and soymilk. I can open my mouth only enough to drink slowly.
gantz Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Thank you for sharing! ^^ Omg you are sooo lucky to have been chosen!! I'm so jealousI wanted to apply for that as well, but even if I was chosen I would not be able to go to Korea now :/ Yes please feel free to send me pictures! Thanks! Happy healing!
babysnow95 Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 Day 2 post op today. The most uncomfortable things so far have been the throat pain, pain in thigh stitches from where fat was harvested for FG, and general feeling stuff and sore from only being able to lay upright Face isn't 'painful' but more uncomfortable and tight and very swollen. I ate porridge on day 1 but I can only do juice today. Right now I drink: soymilk, pineapple juice, yogurt, and pumpkin juice. I have post op day 3 appointment tomorrow. I think I will get leg stitches out?
