tyler_durden
It's being over 5 weeks since I did my DES + Ptosis surgery in Seoul. I started to reading this forum about 3 years ago. And finally decide to do the surgery this summer cuz I finally have a break due to changing my job. Long story short: The whole experience was pleasant. Making a few friends from the forum helped relieving a lot of the stress. I consulted with Teuim, Dream and JW. And finally decide to go with Dr Choi from JW. The surgery took about two hours. No GA, not even sedation... Just local anesthesia and it was painless. I was awake the whole time and having conversation with Dr Choi. The recovery and aftercare were pretty great too. Dr Choi regularly checks on me through the 3 weeks period I am in Seoul. Jenny is my English consultant, although Dr Choi spoke English with me the whole time. She helped scheduling my check-ups, prepare my meds and answered all kinda of random questions I had. At 5 weeks mark, I am recovering well. No infection or anything and the eyelid healed evenly and symmetrical. If you guys have any questions, fire away.
tyler_durden
Oh, also the scar started to fade since I started using anti-scar ointment. The only thing is that there are one tiny white/transparent hard suture poking out my left eyelid. It's very hard to see or visible. It doesn't bother me much. I have seen people brought that up before on the forum. Wondering if I should just leave it alone.
gats
Glad to hear it went well! What made you choose JW over the others? Was the recommended treatment plan you got at each clinic the same? Judging by your name, I assume you're male, if so did they say anything about doing your surgery different than females so it's not feminizing? beautyperfect
Hi. How much did you pay for your surgery ?
ijustloveyou
I'm planning on going with Dr Choi from JW too for non incisional + Ptosis (others im considering are Regen, Wonjin and ID).. I have a few questions; hopefully you can help me 1 did you get incisional or non incisional ? 2 how much were you quoted and how much did you end up paying. My consultant has told me that there will be discounts after face to face consultation with the doctor but I'm not sure what to expect. (the quoted price they gave me is significantly more than the average of the others) 3 What sort of post-op care did you get at JW? Thanks! tyler_durden
Some of the people I know from this forum went to JW and had a good experience. There are a lot of ppl I need to thank, including, but not limited to, K-Contour and Koreasaurus, who helped me through this experience. Treatment plan - it's not that different per se, but it is different. One clinic even suggest forehead lift or whateva. They are all good doctors. They all took the time with me to explain their procedures. I think JW's plan made the most sense to me. As far as male/female, JW style is usually on the natural side. So they suggested the crease height that is more suitable for guys. Nothing special.

tyler_durden
1. partial incisional. 2. I didn't bargain. Probably paid the amount that they quoted you lol... but yeah bargain with them. I paid US dollar in cash to them around 2750 3. Post-op, go back to JW every 2-3 days to see nurse for clean-up and de-swelling treatment. Doctor will usually check up with you every 5-7 days or so. They give a bunch of meds, eye drops and ointment to use. I didn't really have to buy anything from pharmacy. Hope that answers your questions. ijustloveyou
Thanks for your reply! Just wondering how long did you have to wait after your consultation to be able to schedule your surgery? I'll only be in Seoul for 9 days.. I'm wanting to do what you did and go to a few clinics to consult first so I don't really want to pay a deposit before I get there but I'm not sure whether it'll be fully booked out and hard for me to get a booking since I have such a tight schedule...
