kathy2406
@solarbeam maybe they did suggest the thread lift together just in case the skin sags also they did mention doing it together would result in more v-line effect
arcana84
Im currently going through a face reduction//sculpting programme with yakson house ... so far completed 10-15 sessions and there has been some effect wrt to the jaw line . But I'll post a more detailed review after I completed the whole package Hoping it works
solarbeam
Update: consulting with DA and the consultant said that neither accusculpt nor injection contouring is permanent - they last about 6 months. Doing both will have better results... but USD 4k for 6 months is so not worth it :x
lovelypeach
Of course it's not permanent, it's like botox and other types of injections. Any type of lipo is also not permanent, you can always gain back fat in the specific area. Accusculpt is not expensive in every clinic, just that big clinics overcharge foreigners :/
solarbeam
ah yes of course it isn't, but I would've thought it would last for more than 6 months lol. Or at least I thought it would be maintainable through proper exercise and diet :/ Do you any cheaper places for accusculpt @lovelypeach ?
lovelypeach
Injections, especially botox and fillers won't last you a whole year, for sure. But for FAT, if you're removing it with lipo, lipolyse, accu or any kind of fat melting/removal procedure, it should last a little more if you're maintaining it with a proper diet and exercice. Though for SKIN, the lifting effect you can experience with acculift, is not as noticeable as a real lifting procedure. It is suggested after v-line because as you're actually removing bones, you're completely changing your face structure, skin may sag. Even just a little. So removing extra fat or even if you're skinny/don't have much fat in the face, it's gonna help (by tightening these areas and removing remaining resistant fat even if it's just a little that could weigh down the skin) If clinics tell you to pay 2,000,000~3,000,000 KRW for acculift, it's not worth it. As you said it doesn't last forever 1,000,000~1,500,000 would be an affordable price (for foreigners) Plenty of clinics have that acculfit machine, so you can find cheaper prices in smaller clinics. Not that I'm picky with prices, but I wouldn't even pay 1,500,000 KRW for an acculift. Acculift is very common since the first machine was introduced People can go like that and think 'oh well i'm gonna get acculift today, my face has gotten puffy lately' pay 500 bucks and 30 min later it's finished. (btw not all koreans are like that, just that in gangnam it happens) Compared to eye surgery, nose surgery and all invasive surgeries involving bone shaving... it's a pretty 'easy' procedure I've never seen or heard a failed acculift. lol. only people disappointed in acculift
solarbeam
@lovelypeach That was very informative, thank you!! Maybe I'll just pop by the place in Gangnam where I can get $100 botox instead lol
ohblackrabbit
@Apeach i do have chubby face too but i have done several treatments like injections and laser, they have diminished my cheek fat significantly and it takes time. I dont believe in buccal fat removal because im still in my late 20s. So i suggest u find dermatologist and beauty clinics in your place , instead of doing that in seoul which is more exp and anw u will gain ur fat back if u dont maintain monthly injection/facial/laser plus eating lean food helps. Botox can only 'lift' cheeks and streghten your jaw lines, not really effective for chubby cheeks (my doc said so)
lovelypeach
@solarbeam just don't go to suspicious clinics haha~ if you have time you can walk in and ask the how much it costs for acculift if you're worried about the price There is always clinics that do discount for these types of procedures (acculift, botox, injections...). Maybe not as big as during the winter time, but still pretty good deals.@OhBlackrabbit you may loose that 'plump' effect when you get older so... I wouldn't recommend buccal fat removal... or maybe at last option when there's no other choice. also it depends on your face structure, I've seen people who got rid of it but they didn't notice much change. So not really worth it. and you can't put it back lol
solarbeam
@lovelypeach Thank you! I might scout around when I have nothing to do while my nose heals XD I'm hoping since March/April isn't peak season (I think?), it'll be cheaper. I got a quote for 1.5mil~2.5mil krw from GNG, and they said it's permanent conflicting messages.
ohblackrabbit
@lovelypeach i agree, buccal fat removal result is very minimal, it s expensive and if not done correctly may loosen our face muscle hehe
lovelypeach
@solarbeam no it's okay, march/april is fine do you mean for acculift? could be 'permanent' for some people, depends on your ability so store fat in your face. or maybe they call it permanent beacuse it results stay longer than injections? idk haha@OhBlackrabbit doctors recommend not to remove it. It's done for really cheap but I don't think it's worth it
solarbeam
@lovelypeach yeah acculift (it's the same as accusculpt right?) the consultant said she had it done to her face without FC and I'm hoping that means something lol
lovelypeach
@solarbeam yeah pretty much. if you want more details : https://plasticsurgeryinkoreablog.wordpress.com/2017/02/16/acculift-or-accusculpt/ I agree it can be confusing, but when you have a deep understanding of procedures, everything makes sense
