I went to Korea to have facial contouring surgery and stayed there around 2 weeks. Watching this forum was pretty helpful for me to decide and have surgery so now I'm sharing my experience for forumers like me lol Actually I mailed 5-6 clinics to know their price before I headed to Korea, but some clinics took forever to reply and some hasn't still mailed me yet. So I had just deleted them from my list. My final options were 1)Banobagi 2)Regen 3)View Actually I have korean friend who had eye and nose surgery in Banobagi and her result was awesome. I thought that I was going to have my surgery there too but after I got mails from 2 different clinics then I started being confused haha 1)Banobagi Banobagi was my first destination after I had arrived in Korea. The clinic had their own buliding, so it was pretty easy to find. Actually when I entered the clinic, I was kinda overwhelmed and impressed with their facilities and the number of staff and customers. I was like WOW.. After a long waiting, consultant took me and I could finally have consultation. She sounded like a native English speaker, and very calm and nice. She explained what I needed for my facial line briefly and then I went to see Dr. Ban. They said he is a specialist for facial bone contouring surgery. Well but you know what, I was really hoping to hear detailed explanation from doctor. But I only had like 5 minutes with the doctor and I had to be kicked out and back to consultation room with a consultant. I felt like they didn't care about me well. Anyway, the consultant quoted me and explained me about progress before and after surgery. Price was OK, pretty acceptable but I didn't like their attitude to treat customers. 2)Regen Regen was huge too! it was located in nice area to visit. they looked fancy and had lots of foreign patients(especially Chinese). English consultant or translator also explained me about facial contouring surgery. But they just recommended me only jaw and chin. It was good, I mean I felt more trust about they didn't recommend me tons of procedures. Dr. Oh, he was nice and good too. He told me how my face would change and look better. Price was also reasonable maybe because I was going through only jaw and chin? I thought that I would go for Regen but I had last consultation with View, so I said to them I was going to contact them later on. 3)View View was my last destination and I didn't really expect a lot. I just wanted to finish all the consultations and have surgery somewhere haha View was not that big, compared to the other clinics I went. However, they still had lots of patients like the others. Their consultant was a funny person haha I mean even though I couldn't understand any Korean, but still she sounded like a funny and interesting person. They said that they were going to give me post operative cares and check up until I leave. That sounded more safe and they would care me. Their doctor was also nice and sounded very knowledgeable too. I met Dr. Lee and even though he couldn’t speak in English perfectly, he understood what I was talking in English, and he explained about how the surgery would go and about all of the progress in very detail. It was also impressive and made me comfortable. And then I got back to consultation room again and we started negotiating about price. I already started liking View a lot but price was a bit higher than my budget.. They gave me discounted price eventually and they also said that I could get tax refund around 8 percent. I was still confused between Regen and View but I finally decided to go for View. I liked more and they were more trustworthy. I have no idea the cares really worked and helpful but I went to Korea by myself, so I needed someone or things that I could rely on after surgery. Well I’m going to write progress about surgery day and after surgery on the next post. I have too many things to say lol but anyway because I have lots of swelling right now hopefully my face gets better soon. If i were in your position I probably would have also chosen View- I think how well they treat and answer the questions of the patient is very important. Keep us updated! After I had surgery, I had to visit View to have deswelling care and see a doctor to check up my condition. They provided me pumpkin juice and ice pack for preventing swelling, well I guess i'm type of person who doen't get swollen that much but I felt that the their cares and thing they offered me were pretty effective and helpful. Ahh and they also washed my hair once cuz I couldn't for a few days by myself after surgery. I was quite satisfied with the service. Ive been still contacting their English consultant because I get lots of questions as my face is settling down. She says that I have to take my time to see my final result but I can't wait and I'm so excited seeing how my face changes everyday lol I'm thinking to visit View again after 6 months for check up and trip to Seoul. I can list out a whole page of stuff they did for me post-op, from deswelling to even food delivery, but I don't want to seem like I'm promoting the clinic too much.
