jessicacorbyn Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 I'm going for V-line and zygoma (dramatic dolly change) in March (after Korean winter break ends, so clinics are less busy). However my fiance wants to go on holiday during Easter holidays, which could be a couple of weeks to 1 month after I get back from Seoul. I would rather my new face before I go on holiday TBH How long does it take to recover from V line and zygoma? I might be on a few long coach journeys, maybe carry a heavy suitcase. Is say 2 weeks to a month (plus the 1-2 weeks post op in Korea) enough, or are still complications like vomiting or bleeding a month post surgery? Thanks Jess
kebro Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I personally haven't gotten v-line yet, but from what I've heard most complications like bleeding and vomiting go away in the first two weeks of recovery. As for swelling, it really depends on the person. If you are very healthy, most swelling will go down in 2 weeks and gradually go down more from there. However, some people have severe swelling for up to a month post-op before it starts to lessen. And for other complications like soreness and not being able to eat regularly, those can last up to 2 months. I think you should be fine to go on vacation after your surgery though you may not be able to eat freely and may be a bit swollen still. Hope I was able to help!
jessicacorbyn Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 Thank you Yes, some girls has posted their experiences on here, but it's hard to guess ahead. Unfortunately my fiance has busy job, so we can only the holiday then. I really don't want to do the surgery during Korean winter break though as it's busy
granges Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Hi , I'm going to seoul in march of next year as well for cosmetic surgery. I will be there for 8 days. A little bit about myself , I'm 22 years old from the us seeking to get vline and rhinoplasty. If you would like to exchange contact info. please let me know, maybe we can travel together
twocupcakes Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 One week is not a realistic timeframe to recover from v-line. You should stay in Korea longer.
oreocream Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 8 days is very rushed. Assuming the consultation is done on the same day when you land in Seoul and having the surgery that very night, you will have your cast and sutures removed on the same day you leave Seoul. Technically it's possible though, but I would recommend 2 weeks so as to allow plenty of time for post-op care and some sightseeing in this beautiful city.
auditiontrading Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Don't go there for only 8 days. Last time I went to Korea, a girl went to rhinoplasty in JW and the consultant promised her in the web that she can go for 5 days. When she arrived, she did the surgery, and then the nurses only knew that she would be gone in 5 days and told her it is not enough. She did not change her ticket. After 5 days, her nose were still very swollen and doctor could not have her cast off. She flew back to her country very scared. And the consultant of course didn't reply to her as they have earned her money. Luckily she liked her new nose when she removed her casts in the local doctor. Lesson learned is that give plenty of the time for the swelling to subside. Things can go very wrong but she was lucky. Consultants will not reply to you once you leave korea so be sure to recover and solve all problems, see the doctor (free after surgery, why miss it?) as much as you can until the doctor is fine for you to go home.
granges Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016
Oh wow You're right, I may extend my trip even longer thank you all for your imput⭐️

alika7172 Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Hi! which clinics are you considering for V-line and zygoma? And if you have already done your plastic surgery could you please share your experience and expressions)
brea-moore Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I think 10-14 days of period in Korea should be enough, I got my zygoma reduction and genioplasty, I was bleeding for 1 or 2 days, and I was hospitalize only for a day. I didn't feel nausea or dizzy after 1 day. I just had to keep my mouth clean and eat porridge and something soft. Ohhhh, and I had the worst sore throat for 2-3 days after general anesthesia. so I took a lot of mints. I looked fine after 10 days or so! Hope it's helpful!
mlydzz Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 When and where did you do it? How is the numbness in your face? And are you experiencing any sagging from zygoma?
lusan_01 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Can you share which clinic did you go? I am thinking to have zygoma reduction this year but not sure where to go...
archonei Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I am considering v-line and i'm thinking to stay in Seoul at least a month. Just to save on check-up trips, rather than be back at home country and fly back to Korea a month post-op..and also having enough days to chill in. After dr cleared me and all is good to fly back i think i could leave Seoul in light heart otherwise my mind would be so occupied by what might happened..
ashly117 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I'm interested in how long it would take for zygoma recovery too. When do the results kick in?
