jarhead64 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Yeah, this is her before. Please keep in mind I asked for her permission before uploading these haha she's pretty open about surgery, but I chose to cut out her face on my own just cause you know the internet can be a scary place after all. As you can see, her nose was pretty big and her eyes were uneven and sleepy-looking. I sent GNG and Grand a message so I'm looking forward to hearing from them soon Yaayy
lovelypeach Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Thank you and her so much for sharing, please keep us updated
p-joann14 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Wow her nose looks like mine. Exvept mine is more longer in the tip area... you remove the cast after a week right? i feel like her eyes look pretty good after surgery too since its only been a few days, but her eyes seem to open bigger and brighter. does anyone know if gng offers after surgery care too?
loverly Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I messaged them after reading your review haha did you end up booking? I'm excited to see how it turns out, I messaged them a bit late so it got cut off -- will update >< also, they sent me their new English page. just wanted to share with the rest of yall. http://www.gnghospital.com/en/ cheers~
jarhead64 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 So I cut off her face just for her privacy again, eventho she doesn't really care either. Here's her one week. She removed the cast yesterday, so we were both pretty surprised since her gigantic hump was literally GONE... i'm so thrilled for her. she was soo happy. Her nose and eyes are obviously still ridiculously swollen, but i you can ABSOLUTELY see the difference in her bridge. i mean its only been a week, rghit? by the way, no implant was used in the making of this nose! Purely all nat-ur-al. and i know for sure Korean docs are always trying to push the patient to using silicone or goretex since it basically does all the work for them. I will be in Korea next week, so I'm pretty psyched to check them out too. I will be checking out GNG hospital and possibly grand, but im leaning more towards GNG now. imo i think her result turned out really well considering her eyes were completely uneven and her enose was big in every angle (sorry, girl) *before photos on the previous page btw*
trufflegogo Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 omg finally I've been on google translate for most of their Korean site hahaha @p.joann14. On their Korean page it says they do offer quick recovery after surgery care services like concentrated capsule oxygen care and high frequency radiation de-swelling care and such, but not as much on their English page. I guess they def do have it tho . @heimcha.j ASO is orthognathic surgery for bimaxillary protrusion, i believe. @loverly I messaged them too and they seem pretty legit. Really educated in the field of plastic surgery with pretty decent English unlike other clinics that have poor English and answer very vaguely
trufflegogo Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 WOW no way. From what I know, rhinoplasty without the use of an implant is pretty difficult since once osteotomy is done, the bone tends to grow back. Thats kind of the reason why most plastic surgeons in Korea adore the use of an implant (vs how maybe rhinoplasty surgeons in the states may try for an alternative) because it gives them that sleek finish without having to put a lot of effort into it. Osteotomy on any part of bone on your body can be like that. It tends to grow back with rigids (callus formation) but her surgery looks good since they managed to do it without it re-forming. pretty legit imo
jollyolly1 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Was it painful??? How much were her eyes and nose?
jarhead64 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 she said no it wasn't painful, but she was in a LOT of discomfort cause of the tampon-like swaps they put in your nose for the first two days. so she had to breathe from her mouth during that time. She said she paid about 5500-6000 USD for both. But I think that's a pretty decent price considering the amount of work done and how nice everything is so far.
heimcha-j Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Not bad at all considering osteotomy was done on her nasal dorsum. Bone surgery is not easy, nor is it cheap. Looking forward to hearing more about your friend. Thanks for the update
jollyolly1 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I didn't realize it was GNG until recently but one of my black girlfriend had surgery for aso for her mouth protrustion here, and now she's about a month or two post-op. She's going back for nose cause apparently you cant do the two simultaneously (i think its cause of breathing issues or something). She will be going back around Feb-ish and I may be joining her if anyone wanted to hook up or share reviews via pm >< From what I know, they're a pretty low profile plastic surgery hospital that doesn't all mass market like the other big clincs. The place seems pretty legit tho. Their English rep speaks decent English and seems to actually know what she's tlaking about unlike the other English reps at some of the other clinics which I will refrain from naming
jollyolly1 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 please keep us updated tho!!! looking forward to it !! much love!!!
kittyberry Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Hi There, I will be visiting GNG this February myself. We could certainly meet up, that would be especially nice if you will recovering. Best of luck to you!
loverly Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 What are you considering to do? I was thinking about checking them out too. Haven't booked my ticket yet tho
