Does Tip stiffness after rhinoplasty go away?

if you used the septal cartilage in the tip of your nose, it wont become as soft as before. It will become softer, but it will still be pretty hard. Especially if the tip was repositioned with the cartilage. Since the septal cartilage is soo strong, thats why it is most commonly used in the tip, for its durability and strength to lift and position the tip

How long will it take to be less stiff im 3 months postoperative and still too stiff!

it takes about 5 months but will probably take a full year to get softer

are two major reasons for the skin on the nose to feel hard after rhinoplasty, but neither has to do with the skin itself. The hardness does not actually reflect a change in the skin, but rather the tissue underneath.

Edema (swelling caused by liquid under the skin) is the most common cause of hardness in the months directly following surgery. Built up scar tissue, however, does not fade so quickly, causing long term, even permanent, feelings of hardness. These two things generally cause a greater feeling of hardness for patients who already had thick skin on their nose.
