I'm A Caucasian Girl Who Wants V-line Surgery

Recommended Posts

Hihi everyone! I've been lurking on this forum for a while now. I'm a caucasian girl from USA and I really love the look of v-line. I've decided to go to Korea in mid/late November to get a chin reduction (length and width) and cheek implants.
My situation is a bit unique because my face is actually very thin and long, which is the opposite of most asians. My jaw is already small but my chin is broad and long, so most consultants recommended only chin reduction instead of a full v-line surgery. Plus the cheek implants to increase the width of my face since it's so narrow. Does anyone have experience with someone trying to achieve a *wider* face instead of narrower?

I've been consulting with a lot of different clinics so far and I'm strongly leaning towards TLPS. They quoted me:
Chin reduction: $4000
Cheek implants: $3000
Plus a discount for paying in cash and combining the surgeries to equal only $6000. That's the cheapest quote I've gotten so far!

Has anyone heard of or knows another caucasian person who got a v line surgery in Korea? I've done a lot of googling and have only found pictures of asians who did the surgery.

**If you're going in mid/late november, add me on kakaotalk! My username is Sparklii

I'd advise against getting any procedure done that is not very popular in Korea, cheek implants is such a procedure. I'm sure it's performed, but cheek reduction is by far more common there. Have you found many b&a pics of cheek implants from any Korean clinics you've been impressed by? Another option to consider for your cheeks is to use filler or fat graft to add volume to that area.

Cheek implants (submalar implants) is actually quite common in Korea. Besides TLPS as mentioned, I believe big clinics like DA, View and Regen has this service as well. BUT, do look for a clinic whose doctor has experience in performing surgery on Caucasian patients, because Caucasians and Asians have rather different facial bone structure.

Yes that's a concern of mine because the majority of the time, the doctors are performing surgeries on people with the opposite kind of face shape I have. But I think the general surgery of cheek implants has been done a lot in Korea. The only difference is that I want them to be more on the sides of my face to increase width, instead of the front of my cheeks.
Does anyone know of clinics that have experience with caucasian clients? I'm thinking that majority of clinics are only posting pictures of asian clients on their websites so it's hard to know.

i don't think you need to be worried about anything because at the end of the day they are surgeons and if they're good surgeons they'll be able to do it if not, obviously you don't do it ahah
