fairybox Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I've not seen a thread on here for hotz canthoplasty so I made one ~ Has anyone had any experience with this? It's when you get the outer corners of your eyes lowered. I seem to recall seeing somewhere it can be lowered around 6mm at most, but obviously it's different for everyone :3 I'm not even sure if all clinics offer this I'm thinking about getting it done next summer, does anyone know how many months to book / contact the clinics prior? :3
kathy2406 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Hi! They do offer it at clinics but because its little simple and cheap procedure i dont think they just offer it on its own Sent from my SM-G930K using PurseForum mobile app

k-couture Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I believe the name Lateral Hotz is rarely used and most surgeons when you ask them about it will be like "huh????????". It happened when I did my first trip in Seoul to consult various clinics. I actually learnt that name from looking at BK Dong Yang's website (ergghhh BK...*rolls eyes) The correct terminology for that procedure is Lateral CanthoPEXY. Which is generally slightly more expensive like 3- 500 000 krw or so (depending on the pricing range the clinic belongs to) than lateral canthoplasty. I believe the rationale has something to do with the muscle having to be detached then reattached or something like that. For example I wanted to do lateral canthopexy but cos my concentric malar lift was done via the lower eyelid, my muscle is much weaker than a normal person's so it would have a risk of the red of my eye permanently showing after the surgery. Hence I opted out. Anyways if you search lateral canthopexy in the forums hopefully more information will come up since that is the commonly use terminology for the surgery. good luck x
fairybox Posted November 11, 2016 Author Posted November 11, 2016 Hey guys, so I consulted with JW and they said that they'd have to see me In person to determine whether or not I can get hotz canthoplasty (lowering of eye) as some people "don't have room" - what does this mean exactly? They said they can do lateral cantho on me so surely I have room ?
versible Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Hi fairybox, how was your consult with JW? Did you end up go with them for your eye surgery?
fairybox Posted August 19, 2017 Author Posted August 19, 2017 Nope, I went with MVP instead BC Jw was too expensive
versible Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Oic..how do you like your result? May i know who was your doctor?
alara Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 alright so I went through this thread ...googled lateral canthopexy, and is the procedure to lift or lower the eyes? I kept getting images like this?...lifting the corner of the eye mostly, but I really like the result in the photos - and would like to lift.
alara Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 This image seems to explain the differences... got it from ID hospital website. they have a procedure called bambi eyes. edit: in some countries apparently lateral canthoplasty is called almond eyes procedure or something like that
kaylavvv Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 May I know your surgical plan at MVP and cost please?
prettyliars Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Hi..How do you like your results? I'm going to MVP for consultation in March 28 for the same procedure ...would really like to know . Thanks
