tt009015 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Hi everyone! I am 3.5 months post op with my nose job, and my bridge deswelled a lot but my nose tip is still so pointy. The deswelling of the nose bridge really makes it look even pointier... Is it normal for my tip to still be so swollen and pointy at this point in time? I heard after 3 months, 70% swelling is gone... so I'm afraid it is just this pointy.
jennie0906 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Your tip will droop down a little bit from now, but not too much. How pointy is it? Do you find it unnatural? Did you do anything else than just a basic rhinoplasty or did you do cartilage reduction also at the tip?
tt009015 Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 It is unnatural to me because people notice how pointy it is and are surely thinking I had work down. I just did a basic rhinoplasty, I had no tip before since I had a bulbous nose.
jennie0906 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Wow, you had a bulbous nose and now it's quite pointy that looks unnatural? Open rhinplasty can make a quite different and dramatic result, but if it was closed, I would be really surprised that the surgeon probably used quite a bit of your septum.
tt009015 Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 Yeah doesn't the ear cartilage in the tip absorb over time even when swelling goes away, so the tip won't be so pointy?
itsangie123 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Hi I'm planning to go to Korea early December and have the same type of nose. May I ask which doctor/clinic you went to? Is it possible if I can see B&A photos? it could be a dramatic change so you may not be use to it? :/ Anyways I wish you the best.
