fairybox Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 This is a serious question lol, I've read people having rhinoplasties that let them still Move their tip about freely and doing a piggy nose...does anyone have info on this?
ashleyboo Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I also want to know about it!!! Anyone????
yasminn_n Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I saw a video of Dr Kim from April31 doing this on one of his male patients, I think it was on their website and youtube channel
jessicacorbyn Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 How would the surgeon have to do the surgery different? Also, if you do the normal rhino what happens if you do piggy nose? o_0
jojoyes Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I'm pretty sure you just won't be able to move it upwards like that. You won't be able to move it a whole lot.
gats Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 That video above at the end links to the below video, I wonder if she wanted a piggy nose initially?
trufflegogo Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 From what I know (im not an expert), it depends on the type of material they use in your nose. Since the ear cartilage is soft, it is flexible, so it can be moved. But in the case that your nose tip is droopy or wide or whatever, then the septal cartilage (which is like in your nose) will be used to give it that strngth you need to lift it up. The septal cartilage is really durable so its strong and thick. but the ear cartilage is soft. Bottom line, it depends on your nose type and how it needs to be corrected. Again, im no expert, but this my experience following my friend around I know cause I went with one of my girl friends a few years back to get her nose done. She got it done at (will not name), but she ended up paying for revision at an actual nose ENT hospital in Korea
fairybox Posted December 16, 2016 Author Posted December 16, 2016 Perhaps, but I'm not sure if her nose after surgery is the 'normal' amount someone can move their nose after rhinoplasty - can someone on here confirm ~
zipperfool Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 My friend has ear cartilage on his tip, and the pig nose can be done up to a certain point if you use ear cartilage. I don't know about septum cartilage, but I know that if you get rib cartilage grafts in your nose, your nose will no longer be able to do the pig nose, it just gets stuck in one position vertically. BUT with any type of cartilage, you can move the nose left or right freely, the only restriction is up and down (pig nose).
jennie0906 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 omg as a person who did rhinoplasty that vidoe looks so dangerous lol I had the surgery in May and I can't move mine like that because it feels really strange that I feel like I am not supposed to do that
julyier Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 would having a tip plasty make doing a pig nose easier? compared to a full rhinoplasty.
fairybox Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 Yeah I'm considering just doing tipplasty If it means easier piggy nose = more natural looking lol
julyier Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 yeah i don't want a full blown new nose lol it would be so obvious and foreign on my face. plus i don't want to feel like i have to be careful around my nose area for my whole life..
