My Experience With TLPS in South Korea

Recommended Posts

Thank you!
I just showed the doctor pictures of what I wanted to achieve, so I let him choose for me. I think bringing in pictures to your consultations is really important.
But cheek implants have been the hardest part of recovery by far! They really take the longest to heal.

Are you very stiff on the cheeks? Hurts when smiling? I did rhino revision 2months ago in sk and i can now smile again without feeling like the nose will explode. Avoid to laugh out loud was also difficult! I Wonder when i can expect to go back to work or social event for that matter after cheek implant without looking scaringly crazy lol fat graft seem too unpredictable so i think implant would be a good option

Yes you definitely will need extra time to recover if you get cheek implants. They're making it a lot harder to speak/smile and TL told me swelling for cheek implants also takes the longest to recover from.

hey @Kaliyah! what kind of cheek implants did you get, and what size were they? how is your recovery going? i got a combination of malar & sub malar implants placed near the tear trough under my eyes over two months ago and swelling still continues to go down. they've made my cheeks a lot more appley

I got Medpor implants, more on the side of my face not the front cheeks. Mine are 4mm, what about yours? I am 3 weeks post op now but the swelling is still very high for the cheek implants. I saw Dr. Choi today and he told me they will still continue to deswell by about half since they still protrude by about 1 cm now.

i'm not sure how large they were in mm, but the dr referred to them as 'medium'. how do you like them so far?

actually now that i look in the mirror my lower cheeks (not where the implants are, but near where the incision in the gum was made) are still pretty puffy after three months, so the 'apple' of my cheek is sitting lower than i expected... but i hope that's because of swelling & that i don't have to do a revision sigh >

Don't worry it will go away! Mine was the same way and it's gone back to normal there now [in the buccal fat area]. But honestly I kind of miss the look because I looked super young haha.

hey! I'm also white and i was wondering if you could show me the pictures you said you showed them for reference? and to see whats achievable? also do you think your v line result is natural or the more dramatic/dolly? for my nose i wanted to lower my bridge and make it more curved do you think they could do it? and if you're comfortable showing your results could you? i understand if you wouldn't want to though

Can I ask you for pics, Kaliyah? Are you still happy with your results? Did they screw the implant in or is it there without any screws?
Thinking of going there in a few months and this is all I can find by way of people who have actually gone to Korea for cheek augmentation.
