ton0011 Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 been on purseblog for the past 5 hrs (i know) doing some intense research to make sure i dont screw up on my eyes when i got Korea. so thankful i found this forum, i've learnt so much and here are my findings i'm from Australia and is going to Korea in January - February 2017initially i consulted online with 3 hospitals through recommendations from Chinese websites (here is a photo of my eye condition- was very very very certain i wanted to get non incisional but apparently i have alot of fat on my eyelids so i know i need incisional probably but i know i dont want ptosis and epi) grand: really insisted in me getting all 3 surgeries even after i told them i dont want to get all 3 . natural adhesion DES (non-incisional) 1.5 - 1.7 krw , ptosis correction 0.7 krw and epi 1.1krwso totally not ready for 3 surgeries so not goingwonjin: gave me an option of both non incisional and incisional with ptosis and if i wanted, epi. NON- incisional + ptosis + epi = 2.3krw , incisional + ptosis + epi = 3.2-3.9 krw read some forums and people just keep saying someone died there so like nono. plus its actually super cheap so im just wondering why that is you know...... .... id: really insisted i get incisional DEB 2.5KRW and if i asked for non incisional 1.5KRWhonestly after these 3 hospitals i was pretty set on ID after watching a youtube video of a girl who did her surgery with dr. hwang in suk, but everyone on here is saying it is a pretty bad hospital with alot of bad reviews + you need to pay a $1000 USD deposit to even have a consultation with your selected doctor which really puts me off.. but i dont know still a 10% chance of checking it outwhat purseblog thinks TEUIM- dr. kwon quoted: partial DEB - 1.5--2.0 m KRW + epi 1.4m KRW literally 70% of the forums talk about how amazing dr. kwon is at double eyelid surgery... BUT also how bad he is at epi. i was so convinced this is the one for me until i saw all the posts about scaring because of epi and revision surgeries after. plus i really dont want epi because i know im going to look like a witch if my eyes are going to be closer to eachother.... probably going to book in for consultation and insist in no epi and see how he reacts... lol (waiting for reply will update) JW- good reviews and bad reviews, DR. PARK seems so be mentioned everywhere, just sent in a online consultation and waiting for a response but seems like a pretty famous place BANOBAGI- the famous clinic appearing on all those tv shows, im honestly not a person to trust in super famous clinics because i know they have so much money and power they wont care for someone like me who just wants a simple eyelid surgery .. but DR.CHOI seems to be mentioned alot on here and i have sent in a online consultation ITEM- some good reviews, not so famous, only got to know about it today but DR. CHUNG and DR.KIM seem to be all the rage, so again i have sent in a online consultation OPERA- same as ITEM, tried to go for consultation online but cant find an english website so i dont know what to do. xdcafter these 5 hours i've pretty much realised that there are bad reviews for every single clinic but i believe thats because everyone has different skin and muscle conditions and while some may work for some, some may just hate it like no tomorrow. questions: 1.now that ive collected a few famous mentions in this forum i was wondering if you guys can list out your preferences? 2.what do you guys think i should get for my eyelids? let you guys be the specialists 3. how long did it take you guys to recover 50% and 75%? 4.share your similar concerns please lets help eachother.i will be visiting alot of clinics in korea when i go and i will keep posting on this forum add me on kakao @ton0011 if you're also visitng korea in janurary-feb for DEB and is as confused as i am
dilya Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 is your name ton0011 on kakao? I just searched, cannot find you.
gnoade Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 i've heard from my friend that every hospital DOES have bad reviews and that you should look for recommended doctors and NOT hospitals. Because the doctors with the best skills are the ones that are highly sort after by both clients and hospitals. maybe you should try to look for recommended doctors instead?
ijustloveyou Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I got my DES last year in Nov. and from my research Grand, ID and Wonjin are like the top 3 blacklist clinics. For one, I know Grand has been wound up in investigations of ghost surgery and i think the owner was charged with fraud related crimes... Just try and do more research and don't settle on a clinic too fast Let me know if you have any other questions!!
ton0011 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 did you want to join the group chat? yes it is ton0011, what is your kakao?
ton0011 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 to summarise my trip, i ended up not doing the surgery, because i was not really comfortable with it anymore and also the cost was really out of my range, i believe no matter what they say online, face to face consultations really are different and serious, i ended up visiting jw item and teuim and they had their own pros and cons, but then again its different for everyone if anyone wants support through 2017 DES you can add me on KAKAO:ton0011 and i can add you in the GROUPCHAT
hanalymi Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Hey Ijustloveyou, can I know where did you have it done? And are you satisfied with your result? Thank you.
linacct Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 How did you find your experience with Item and JW?
ijustloveyou Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 I went to JW and I'm not 100% satisfied..... but i guess 80-90% ?
zanelabmw Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Hi iJUSTloveyou Why are you not satisfied 100%?

zanelabmw Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 anyone potentially going to korea in july/august?
erichyung Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 to be honest, I initially assumed he was a good doctor, and he seemed quite confident that any sort of scarring would go away, so i trusted him. Unfortunately it never did, and even a dermatologist i was seeing for other acne scars in korea pointed out my scar immediately and said he felt it would always be visible, and said that he felt sorry for me. In fact the micro swelling from the surgery made it look slightly better then , and has only gotten worst and sunken and completely white. I have complained on that thread for awhile now and it seems like grumbling but this whole botched epicanthoplasty has been literally life-destroying for me and traumatizing. If you asked me, I would never choose to do it given the risks for that tiny bit of eye widening that I did not need badly, but was assured constantly that it wouldnt be visible. The entire dermal layer of the eye corner was destroyed and can be seen even in blurry photos. Teium does do revisional epicanthoplasty but once a scar forms, especially one this deep and large, there is no way to remove it with any known medical technology. http://english.teuimps.co.kr/eng/img/sub/eye2_3_img5.jpg in the second picture the left eye's line scar has become a circular dent which will still look horrible under the natural sunlight. Mine is worse than this. Until today I still kind of trust Dr. Kwon and feel like going back to him, and assuming just I'm the one in a million botch case and that it wasn't just his careless mistake. I really want to recommend Dr. Kwon and seeing all these posts scared about epicanthoplasty, I feel bad for the clinic's business. But while the clinic may lose a little money, I have lost things that no amount of money can help. Anyone who is thinking of doing any type of surgery, please remember that even the best doctor who has done thousands of surgeries can screw up badly on you. Even if you may not look good now, it is better than looking like a freak. You might just spend all your money and end up not even being able to go out anymore.
yolo-lilly Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Hello, I'm asking around on purseforum about eyelid surgery; My friend in Korea got quoted 2mil won for incisional ptosis correction at Opera Plastic Surgery; they say it's an event price. Has anyone been to Opera?
rookiee Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Hi I read some reviews about opera in this forum and it seems pretty good so you'd better read that reviews
