Thanks for sharing your journey! I have researching for breast surgeon for a while since i joined tpf in May. In my case it's for breast reduction. There were few reviews on this procedure in tpf i have a hard time finding a dr ( in Korea )
I must say i'm very happy to find your review of dr Park JS, he just sounds wonderful. I got recommended him by a kakao friend and after contacting him i agree he was very thorough and polite. It made me feel good about the surgery. When i arrived in Korea next year i think i will visit him and when i do, or done my surgery i shall write a review here in the forum.

Surgical Experiences Summary

I am really happy I went through with my surgeries! I’ve wanted rhinoplasty since I was 5 and breast augmentation since I was in my teens. I’m glad I did the right amount of research, had TPF threads to read up on night after night, and caring TPF friends to chat with (e.g., K Couture, and others whom I cannot name). I am thankful for a wonderful and loving partner who diligently took care of me throughout the difficult recovery period even though he underwent surgery himself. I am blessed to have two caring, meticulous and master surgeons perform my surgeries.

I am now patiently waiting for my body to recover from the trauma I put it through, and can’t wait to see the final results. I hope that my detailed review will be helpful to TPF, as others’ reviews were for me. Thank you to all the brave souls on TPF who undergo and post about their surgical experiences for the greater community. I hope my journey inspires more individuals to share their current and future surgical experiences so we can all benefit in the end. Primary Rhinoplasty Surgery

I arrived at the clinic and was asked to complete the final payment. The pricing provided was local pricing and the clinic did not employ consultants, therefore, there was no need to bargain. I was then told that I would be given a tax refund receipt and I could choose whether to receive that now or later - reason being some patients actually lose their receipt! I opted to receive mine at that point in time since I never lose my belongings. I was then escorted to see Dr. Paik once again. He took my before photos, and drew out the exact changes he would make on my printed photographs. He had a steady hand, and kept erasing and re-drawing until it was perfect! Again, he asked if I agreed with his drawings and assessments, which I did, and I was ready for surgery! To give a quick insight to his recommendations, I was advised to undergo open rhinoplasty - dorsal augmentation with a soft silicone implant (4mm which was decided during operation), layered ear cartilage grafts for tip, and tip projection, rotation, and narrowing. Although I thought I needed alar base reduction (along with other surgeons), Dr. Paik did not recommend it and said the ear cartilage grafts were sufficient in narrowing my nostrils. I trusted his judgement and did not proceed with it.

Next, a nurse brought me to another floor to get changed, put away my belongings, and wash my face thoroughly prior to surgery. Then I was brought into the operation room and laid down on the bed. They proceeded with the local sedative/anesthesia injections and made me 100% comfortable. I remember seeing Dr. Paik enter the operation room and was knocked out shortly after.

When I awoke from surgery, I was still laying on the operation bed. I felt no pain, only minor discomfort from anesthesia. Since all their surgeries are scheduled beforehand, I was not rushed out and could take as much time as I needed until I was ready to be moved off the operation bed. A nurse was attending to me in another room and when she checked on me and noticed I was awake, asked me if I was ready to move to a more comfortable bed. I responded “yes”, and she helped me up and into one of the recovery rooms on the same floor. I remember being thirsty, slightly dizzy and tired so I went straight to sleep after sipping some water. When I awoke, the nurse asked me if I was hungry, and again spot on, I responded “yes”. She then brought me some rice porridge and it was the most delicious thing I tasted in a while! That same porridge would be my food of choice during my next few weeks of recovery, but I digress. After eating, the nurse asked if I was able to walk around, and I said “yes”. She asked me if I felt dizzy or tired, and I said “no”. She asked if I was ready to go home, and I said “yes”. I headed home straight away and that was the end of my rhinoplasty surgery experience.

I had check-ups every other day after operation for one week, then 2 more additional check-ups 3 days apart. The nurses would provide antibiotic injections and hair washes. Dr. Paik would personally review my nose at every check-up and let me know the progress. My stitches were removed on the 5th day, and cast was removed on the 7th day. I had no bruising, and swelling was very apparent on the 5th day when they removed my stitches and my partner had taken a picture of my nose (it looked a bit like Shrek!). When my cast was removed on the 7th day, the severe “Shrek-like” swelling had subsided. My new nose looked really amazing, albeit with swelling still intact. The only thing that bothered me, was the swelling on my bridge which drew my eyes too close together and made me look like an elf. I was informed by Dr. Paik that this swelling should subside over time. That in a period of 6 months to one year the final result will become apparent and my nose will be natural and harmonious with my face. He said my surgery results were very successful and I now have a beautiful nose, to which I wholeheartedly agreed.

Dr. Paik is truly a master of rhinoplasty and everyone should at least visit his clinic for a consult if they are considering rhinoplasty or revision rhinoplasty. Since my operation was such a success, I decided to write a detailed review for PS101 since there weren’t any thorough reviews of them on TPF. At the same time, this clinic gets booked up way in advance so they wouldn’t need me to shower them with praise anyway, they get plenty from other locals.

Other points I want to mention about this clinic – every time I was there for a check-up, the clinic was busy (in a good way) with patients for check-ups, consults, and surgery prep. Additionally, I was able to meet one other foreign patient from Thailand. She had 3 or 4 unsatisfactory rhinoplasty surgeries previously in Thailand and found Dr. Paik through a Korean friend. I was there when she did her final check-up with Dr. Paik and she was very pleased with the results. This just means that even patients with multiple revision rhinoplasty procedures can be satisfied with Dr. Paik’s results.

To give an update on my rhinoplasty condition, I am now 2.5 weeks post-op and the swelling on my bridge has subsided a lot. My nose definitely looks more natural now and fits my face very well – it doesn’t look fake or obvious, just an enhanced version of my old nose. There is just a small red scar from the columella incision which can easily be covered up by foundation or concealer if needed. I actually walk outside without makeup on many occasions and don’t even care about hiding the scar because it really doesn’t look that bad. To my family and friends whom I have shown my pictures to, they all say I have the perfect nose. Considering how easy the surgery and recovery was, I would do it all over again, just earlier if I had the chance!

Hello! Would like to ask, when you have your surgery done with PS101, did they provide you medications or you have to go pharmacy and buy your own based on their given prescription?

I will be in Korea in June too reading this thread makes me pretty interested in ps101 can’t find their website for before and after pictures if you happen someone able to find it please share.

I just called them with their customer service number 82,2,547,5531 obviously I got no luck with them. Dr Paik will take couple of days off from June 25 - July 3rd. Which is when I arrived there hope you have better luck with him then me.
