lovelypeach Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Well I was just sharing what I found and my thoughts, I'm not saying that it's good or bad Just sharing, no offence intended
jexxi-suen Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I know I know it is free of speech but your thoughts without explanation can give other ppl with wrong idea that is why I know this forum is for sharing thoughts but something got to be back up to show the thoughts to prevent
missfitt Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 The chinese girl was trying to scamming money that's what I heard from other forumers. So far I read mostly good review about JW except for the one in this thread but I would like more detail please. The other so so review I read said that her nose was not as defined and is natural for her liking but it is also because her tissues very thin so cannot do much. She did say her 6 month result is not bad. That review doesn't make me feel bad because a natural nose is what I want. I very afraid looking too fake like swordfish nose.
lovelypeach Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 true true you're right, i've been so tired from pulling all nighters I spoke too fast Read some reviews of people saying it's too natural/insuffiient results on the other thread. JW seems to be quite expensive. Talking only about consultations and not much recent reviews about surgery on Babitalk, only about consultation. Kind of feel like people loosing interest. And mostly for nose. That was why I'm not considering JW About bad reviews, apart from the other thread and the scandal, it doesn't look like there are much bad reviews. One girl saying it's not impressive on KR forums, but no recent reviews Other than that everyone saying good things about JW here Oh yeah didn't check Soyoung because I'm struggling so much with chinese so I have no idea what people saying there
jennie0906 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Well.. It was like a year ago, and I visited too many clinics. Sorry! But yea I remember they weren't that nice, and pushing for putting deposit.
itsangie123 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I've read too many recent negative reviews of JW (November-December 2016). Mostly because Dr. Suh placed the silicon too high on the bridge, creating an unnatural look. A couple girls I've talked to searched for a revision rhinoplasty right after that week of getting their surgery. They were unhappy with the tip and explained it looked way too up-turned. So they waited an year and got a revision. I was set on going to JW then took into consideration how busy they are and more prone to be making mistakes. Dr. Suh is always booked and works on 3 patients everyday. Which makes me worried because they're not there to please you with the best results since, knowing they have tons of other patients (from China especially) wanting to get work done.
missfitt Posted January 4, 2017 Author Posted January 4, 2017 3 patients a day? Thats not a lot of patients which makes me think it is because they want to give you the best results by doing less patients each day. Upturned is what worries me a little because I prefer a straight to piggy korean nose. Can we request differently or is that his style
itsangie123 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Yeah it's normal but what I meant is he consistently works on 3 patients a day, he is always BOOKED. Imagine every day of the week you work on patient to patient like an automated machine haha (jk). Most surgeons has some spots available throughout the current weeks. JW is popular based off their online marketing/promotions. I'm sure you can ask differently to your preference, but that tends to be his style as far as I know (high silicon bridge and upturn tip) based on my observations with his unhappy clients/photos. Keep in mind we all have a different preference and cultural beauty standards. So what may look unnatural to me, may look natural/ideal to you.
missfitt Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 not trying to rude but I don't think what you are saying makes any sense? because it is only 3 a day that is very not many compared to other places. It means he is always booked with 3 patients. Other places the doctor can have 3 patient also but they wouldn't be booked because they don't have 3 patient rule so can fit more in. That means everyday of the week they work on patient to patient even more patient than the jw doctor. So most surgeon has some spots available throughout the current weeks like you said because they do more than 3 a day, but jw doctor doesn't have spots because he only do 3. Doing 3 patients a day is a good thing don't you see because it means they don't want to take too many patients a day and then get too tired after many many surgeries. I don't know why you would think that is a bad thing. I think bad would be doing so many a day until the poor patients who do later surgery get not to good result because the doctor is tired and sleepy. The high bridge I think might be some truth to it because one of my friend she do and the bright it quite high. Her tip is not upturn though it is actually straight because her nose was piggy from first surgery and she asked straight nose and doctor said yes can do. Are patients allowed to pick the implant height and how many height so I know would be suited to my face for natural look?
jexxi-suen Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 WORD UP to Missfitt itsangie123 I guess you got a long way to learn more about surgeries and other clinics other clinics like Wonjin / Grand / Jewelry / ETC. they take more than 10 surgeries in a day of course some of'em will do the swapping doctors but still you are comparing 10 vs 3 lol
itsangie123 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 No I assumed that the majority know about the background of Wonjin/ Grand/ Jew/ and that they're out of the picture since they're known for a lot of botched plastic surgery and very factory-like clinics. There has been a lot of reported deaths/injuries in those clinics and instances of doctors being swapped. So no I'm not going to compare JW to very low, bad reputation clinics. I'm only comparing to the top notch, high quality plastic surgeons of the world. Lol
itsangie123 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 I can understand from your perspective. But my perspective, they're heavily marketed and advertised online. Which means they will always be busy and filled with clients because of their great marketing strategy. And that doesn't necessarily mean they're the best surgeons. Plenty of surgeons in Korea who don't invest a lot of money on online marketing are just as good and they're not as busy... But what really threw me off, is that I've talked to 4 different people who got work done by Dr. Suh and they were not satisfied. Most of them wished they never got work done because of how badly depressed they were. So 90% of them got a revision rhino from a different clinic. This is my personal preference and opinion ^^ I cant speak yet since I haven't went in person. But I'm going to my live consultation this month ^^ I'm pretty sure the client has the voice to choose the desired height of the bridge. From that, the doctor will work with your preference and give you his recommendation.
missfitt Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 I see what you are saying but I feel they are only considered busy because their surgery is full because they only take 3 patients a day to make sure surgeon is not too tired. Like that 3 patients only is so easy to become full and I don't see 3 a day as busy. So far when I talk to people and even my friend who did at JW who had the nice tip but complained the bridge a bit too high they like their results mostly. My friend who did at JW even said the people in lobby who just remove nose bandage all look good. Negative I hear so far is.... Bridge too high (I think I can ask for low height to make sure this no happening) ; Staff not very friendly (happen to one girl I spoke to the rest said good experience). Tip not sharp enough / nose too natural (2 girls said this but this may be silly I actually feel comfortable with this. Because my nose now is not bad. If result is too natural I still look good. If too sharp is what I really worry. Too sharp will look very fake because my face is more rounded that why I am very avoiding to any surgeons who do too sharp nose. Have you ever seen someone who nose is too unnaturally sharp? I seen before it is the most horrible type of nose I have ever seen)
auditiontrading Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 @Missfitt People will say blah blah blah or whatever. Check it by yourself, do a consult in there. Even when the doctor is friendly etc, the consequences can still very bad. Someone I know had botched jobs in eight plastic surgery from this. Well I had wanted JW all before my research, but I have to say such research aren't really that much of a deal as visiting the clinic is better than anything. I decided not to include it after I see its front door is very small and gives my a dodgy feel. You can go in and I personally will not. People may say all magical things about the clinic but it is you who go in and consult. You will then get a gut feeling. You should then know you would want your surgeries there or not. Some clinics like propose, banobagi gave me a not so good vibe. Till this day I kept the quote bano gave me that was horrendously high. The quote they gave me they could only lessen by 10% when they offered me to pay a deposit. And for the three nose thingy, whatever. A clinic I know only does one nose a day maximum. And ppl got good results from him. It was trend. The information was until last summer. I don't know what clinic are the most hyped now though. I have a negative review on JW about the aftercare. I posted it a while ago in a reply and I shall copy it out for you. Last time I went to Korea, a girl went to rhinoplasty in JW and the consultant promised her in the web that she can go for 5 days. When she arrived, she did the surgery, and then the nurses only knew that she would be gone in 5 days and told her it is not enough. She did not change her ticket. After 5 days, her nose were still very swollen and doctor could not have her cast off. She flew back to her country very scared. And the consultant of course didn't reply to her as they have earned her money. Luckily she liked her new nose when she removed her casts in the local doctor.
