teeteetee Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Hi everyone, Does anyone know of a very good clinic that does great revisions for a fair price? Should I go back to my original clinic and request another doctor to do it? I'm about 3 months post-op and although my job is far from botched, I feel like my tip is still a bit bulbous and length isn't as long as I would have liked. The surgeon who performed on me is a great doctor from a reputable clinic and he errs on the natural side (which was what I wanted, but he didn't address the bulbous issue. I asked him about it but he said I didn't have a bulbous tip? He said I only needed lengthening and tip projection) but the other surgeon does more dramatic noses. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
choijaeyoung Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 If your previous clinic was really reputed for rhinoplasty and if you think it will be worth going back to them for revision then surely you can proceed. Many other reputed clinics have revision surgeries. However, most clinics will ask for 4-6 months before you do another surgery. You can also visit few other clinics and hear what they have to say. Since it's your second surgery please be careful. Ask around for best clinics for revision surgeries.
teeteetee Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 I really like Chae Soo Bin's nose because it's so cute. My previous rhinoplasty included alar reduction and a 5mm silicone implant since I had almost no bridge to begin with, and septal cartilage to lengthen my nose. When I consulted theLine, they mentioned using donor rib cartilage for my bridge but that thought was pretty intimidating. What kind of material or procedure do you think would be needed to achieve Soo Bin's look? I also really like Chaeyeon's nose tip and showed my primary rhino surgeon this, but it seems that my tip isn't as sharp: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/BkrvQCipJGY/maxresdefault.jpghttp://i.mdldb.net/cache/XoJ/W/b4qNJAG1_ac3fe8_c.jpghttp://static.asiachan.com/Chae.Soo-bin.full.80956.jpg
insecur1ties Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hello. May I know which clinic did you went for rhinoplasty?
shingotakeda3582xyz Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 MVP doesn't offer free revision surgery right? i'd heard of that before sorry about your case. i also have a botch job from top class & i'm waiting for their reply.
teeteetee Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 I'm not entirely unhappy about my nose. I actually think it looks pretty cute in general, but it may have been too much on the conservative side. I had fillers before and the bridge augmentation brought about the same height change as it did when I had fillers. The nose length and alar have improved by a lot but the tip is a bit rounder than I would have liked. In pictures when I lightly contour, I think it looks very cute haha. But without makeup on, the tip doesn't really look that different from before the surgery. Obviously it's a bit slimmer than before but not by a whole lot.
insecur1ties Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Hey, do you mind showing me your before and after picture? Is the surgeon Dr Seo? I actually plan to go MVP this coming March.
insecur1ties Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Oh no, that's really sad. Did they offer free revision surgery for you? Someone in Korea actually told me that top class is good in nose jobs, but they are now off my list after reading some bad reviews here about top class. >__<
shingotakeda3582xyz Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 i'm asking them now. i had emailed them but they suck at checking email. i factory reset my phone and have no access to LINE at this moment (need phone number confirmation) so i'll LINE them once i'm back home.
jexxi-suen Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Free revision or charged revision will be depends on the situation for every other clinics but why did you go to MVP though.. Personally I do not like their systems period! they got popular by doing operation to chinese with cheap prices back in the day but their surgery skills or consultant wasn't that great when I visited there They do not have that much of issues like some other clinics like grand / wonjin / etc. you should find the reputable and trusted clinics~ but nobody would offer free revision surgery (they will charge at least small bit) and of course other clinics will charge you revision surgery amount since it will be first time having operation from other clinics
teeteetee Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Hi! I went with MVP because I wanted to err on the natural side and the doctor seemed to be attentive to what I had to say. I didn't have any problems with the consultant either. I visited a few other clinics before I decided on MVP. What clinics would you recommend? Nothing is set yet and I don't completely hate my nose. I'm just keeping options open
trufflegogo Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 You did your surgery with them and they told you to do your revision by another doctor? I don't understand this. I mean if your nose needs revision, shouldn't they take care of you? But in all honesty, three months is way way too soon to tell you know. My cousin did her nose and it took a really long time for the swelling to go down but now shes pretty content. If you're looking for rhinoplasty or revision specialists http://www.gnghospital.com/en/ GNG hospital is straight up that (theyre a legit plastic surgery hospital, not clinic). the hospital owner only does rhinoplasty and altogther they sepcialize in revision and reconstruction especially. not sure about their prices with revision tho, you will need to check with them yourself
teeteetee Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 No, they said if I was unhappy I should contact the clinic again. By "another doctor" I meant the other surgeon who works at the same clinic. Yeah, I'm just researching now. I think my tip is still a bit round but it's nothing that keeps me up at night haha.
trufflegogo Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 another doctor at the same clinic? interesting. yeah if its just round, its probably just swelling? esp for the tip region since swelling is the most intense there. i say just wait it out in the meantime
