cute_lil_fiend Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Do keep us updated on your long-term results. I'm always curious as to how much retention of graft volume different people retain. And out of curiousity, why did you decide to do regular fat graft (vs PRP)?
astrid07 Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Thank you for your review! I'll appreciate if you share more experience in Korea!
k-junkie Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Hi cute_lil_fiend! During my clinic visits, I asked the consultants at GNG and Item if Prp fg is more effective, especially for improving skin quality. I'm starting to get annoying fine lines & duller skin lol. Both consultants said Prp doesn't really help with skin quality. My gfs had good results from regular fg, so I decided to try the regular first. For those interested: To improve skin quality, GNG recommended anti-aging or whitening injections and quoted me 100k won per injection. Regular fg is 2.5 mil and Prp is another 500k won more. While, Item recommended Rejuran injections. Its the next step up from Aquashine injections. Think she said its 40-45 shots administered by Dr while i'm sedated for fg. Cost is 1.1 mil. Here's a link I found of Rejuran selling at half the price I paid. Haha https://injectablecosmetic.wordpress.com/2016/09/28/rejuran-healer-599-2-syringes-x-2ml/
apple11 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Hi K Junkie, thank you for sharing the link. Have you ever ordered any products from them? I want to buy some fillers but am not sure if they are genuine or just a scam. @anyone who has used this company, please give me some feedback?
k-junkie Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Hi Apple, my apologies pls. Think I probably shouldn't have posted that link, since I have not used them and can't vouch for their authenticity. Attached it only cos it helped explain the benefits of Rejuran. Anyway, I don't know how much doctor used on me, so my comment is inaccurate. With injectables, you want to be really careful. make sure you have a safe product and proper and experienced medical practitioner to administer it for you. You are too precious
heartbeep Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 I ended up doing fat grafting with PRP and stem cell at JW, along with tread lift and accusculpt lift for saggy skin. So far I'm liking the results! My skin looks a lot more lifted and plump now. Of course, like with my previous fat grafts, it remains to be seen if the fats totally disappear But service wise, I was satisfied. Jenny, my interpreter, was really lovely and helpful and answered my very persistent questions. Look for her if you guys ever visit JW! And Dr Seul was very patient and frank (but not pushy) in his assessment of what I needed done. Only thing is, they're kinda pricey! My husband balked at the price - 9.5 million won for all the procedures... Will check back in here again in a month's time to update on how the fats are holding up!
cute_lil_fiend Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Congrats on your fat graft! Curious to see how it holds up this time around. Keep in touch.
astrid07 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Hope you get good result soon!! but 9.5 mil... feel a bit pricey for me. How long did you stay in Korea tough? did you get swelling a lot?
gats Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Does that price include a topup (second fat graft)? 9.5m sounds high. Did you try to negotiate with them? Did you get quotes from other clinics?
heartbeep Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 yup this was after negotiation. i did check with other clinics, but i decided to go with JW even though it was pricier, coz my doctor has so many years of experience
heartbeep Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 yup the swelling was BAD the first few days. i looked like a pumpkin. but came down after two weeks. I stayed in korea for 6 days!
leelala Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 how long did it take for the fat to disappear? I just got mine to my face about 21 days ago and I dont' like it. My face looks fatter, saggier and older which is opposite of what I wanted. I want to know if it will go away more after 3 weeks to what I originally looked like. please let me know thank you.
heartbeep Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I'm sorry to hear you're having a negative experience with your graft! For me, the initial results were always great. It was the ensuing months that were disappointing as I watched my fats melt away. I think you could still be swollen from the op, so everything looks kinda distorted now. Give yourself another 2-3 weeks for that to resolve, and you might be happy with the results. In any case, the amount of fat that remains after 2-3 months for most patients will only be 40%, so don't worry too much! You could also try massaging your face, coz that would break down the fats faster. But I'd say, just be patient! You may be surprised at how great you look after a few weeks
leelala Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Hi did you end up getting the fat graft from dr seul from jw? How was the experience, his artistry and cost? I'm consulting right now with jw and they recommended dr seul bc he had a good eye and has been doing this for 17 years. He is abreast augmentation specialist but he also does far grafting? I'm actually thinking of going to him for liposuction of my face due to my recent fat graft on my face. Please let me know thank you
heartbeep Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Yes, I did the fat graft with him. He's a breast augmentation specialist, but he uses fat grafts for many of his breast augmentation procedures, so I guess that makes him somewhat of a fat specialist too. Overall the experience was quite positive for me, but like my two other fat grafts (which I did with Dr Kim at BK), most of the injected fats have been absorbed by my body The clinic would probably recommend you give yourself a few months before you do any liposuction, as your face is currently still healing from the graft, and the amount of fats you see right now will certainly change over time. May I ask which clinic you had your fat graft done at please?
