enf782 Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Hi has anyone undergone lateral canthoplasty? I'm interested in it but I heard its kinda risky (despite some clinics sayings it's not)?
enf782 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 It sounds like your surgery went well. ^^ Would you mind updating me once the swelling has gone down? =o What other clinics did you consider?
linlin18 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Is that the outer corners? My friend got hers done and we couldnt even tell .... there was no stitches or anything .. we're not even sure if the doctor did it -.-
enf782 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Yes, outside corners. Were you there with her for the surgery or just after she healed? =o Its less noticeable than DES though. It can be kinda subtle.
linlin18 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Yeah I was! Maybe there were stitches but the results are the same XD
enf782 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 :S Interesting.... You dont have any before and after photos of just her eyes would you? D: Aw.
jennie0906 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 You have to have enough space in the outer corners to be cut open and some people aren't even able to get the surgery :/
blps_lianalee Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Since a Lateral Canthoplasty is a surgery that includes an incision, yes it would leave a scar. But it isn't the type of scar that is really disturbing to look at. This kind of scar would start to heal 3 months after the surgery till it wouldnt leave any. For some cases, when it takes longer to heal than usual, some patients would get what we call the scar removal injection. This surgery is not a risky type of surgery which will be done with 45mins- 1hr. Hope this helped!
enf782 Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 Thanks Blps for the info! Though I'm not so much worried about scars as I am about deformities.
blps_lianalee Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 As long as you go to the right hospital with good reviews then that would not be a problem! Good luck!
trufflegogo Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 my friend did lateral canthoplasty and not double eyelid surgery and it turned out pretty nice. i guess it depends on the surgeons skill and your eye shape
choijaeyoung Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 What about someone who wears lens ? Will powers change for eyes?
