mlydzz Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I do have a jaw problem but it's not as serious as underbite. I have a slight overbite but it's not interfering with my eating. My problem is that my right jaw makes a popping sound when i open it but my left doesn't plus my right jaw is smaller in size than the left. Sometimes it hurts slightly and sometimes doesn't. Idk man. Still going to a maxillofacial surgeon just to be safe. I asked GNG if they removed muscles/fats/tissue when shaving your bones and they said they do so yeah, it's important that you ask them about them again just in case. Dr Choi is their fc surgeon. I dont know about the other clinics.
sweetpotato1996 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Oh, I see. Yeah, that's definitely worth fixing with an oral surgeon. There are some clinics in Seoul that specialize in oral surgery, but don't offer any other facial procedures like eyes or nose. You would probably have to go to one of those, as most general plastic surgery clinics don't seem to have actual oral surgeons - you wouldn't want a plastic surgeon to try and fix this functional problem. So far, GNG seems to be one of the best clinics for me. I spent hours today looking at their before and after pictures, and I really like the results for rhinoplasty and facial contouring. Their eyelid surgery results look similar to any other Korean clinic (honestly, I can't tell much of a difference between the eyes created by various clinics, I guess Korean surgeons all use the same technique). Only downside is that they don't offer philtrum shortening. MVP seems to be the only clinic that does that too.
mlydzz Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Yeah thats what sucks when you cant go back to korea again and would rather do everything in one go.. only downside is the price since GNG is a hospital and their post op care is good which is why they probably dont want to lower their prices that much. Havent seen anywhere else like them and i missed my chance to be on their promos which ended already. F* sucks lol
sweetpotato1996 Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Really? I actually think their prices are quite good, very reasonable. But I guess I am used to reading about the ridiculous prices of the big clinics that cater to international customers, so I just expected that foreigners will have to pay a lot. Before I started reading this forum more, I actually thought I would need at least $30 000 for my surgeries!
mlydzz Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 omfg 30k.. then it wouldnt make any difference between paying in korea and the states lol same prices like wtf thats way too much but i see
sweetpotato1996 Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Yeah but I thought it would be worth it as Korean surgeons are wayyyyyyyyy better. Also procedures like mandible reduction/facial contouring is uncommon in Western countries. Also (in my opinion), Western surgeons suck at eyelid and eye widening surgeries - as well as nose jobs for Asians.
summerlux Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Foreigners easily pay two to three times more than local Koreans for the same plastic surgery procedures, it's unfortunate that their clinics rip us off.
mlydzz Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Yeah thats true. Even tho u have to know about all the consequences.. its all so overwhelming but u gotta do what u gotta do
yumigumi Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Hey guys, I was wondering if there is that big of a difference when it comes to getting a vline at a clinic compared to a hospital. Do hospital surgeons give better vline results than clinic surgeons? Is there less of a chance of having doctors switch during surgery at a hospital?
mintsweet Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Thank you for your sharing and Congrat for your result. One question, how long did you take to go back to normal? I could have only 10 days off and I'm little bit worrying about going back to work place.
mlydzz Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I think you're still gonna be swollen but walk a LOT so you can deswell faster. Dont forget your vitamins and stuff and stay hydrated.
european95xx_ Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Happy to hear that you are doing well and that you are overall happy with your experience at DA. Can you give us an update on your recovery and the results so far? I´m also interested in doing my surgery with them if I ever decide to get surgery that is haha. So far I only e-mailed them my photos and the lady that I talked to was very sweet and genuinely seemed like she wanted to help me. She also told me straight away that I don´t need a zygoma reduction and that I already have a very small face haha. That surprised me because to me my face is bigger than I would like it to be. I suppose to me it´s somewhere in the middle when it comes to how big it is lol. Aynway I liked her approach immediately! She seemed very honest and friendly
bebegiirl_ Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Hi, Did you undergo the surgery yet? I plan to go to Korea in September 2017 to get v-line, eyelid revision and forehead reduction. I was wondering which clinic you ended up with and how much were the costs? Thank you!
mlydzz Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 henlo. no i didn't yet, im going next month. still need to consult for the surgeryes from nose and above. for vline im going to the face dental so im not sure about the price yet but tfd vline in my case its 4.4mil
bebegiirl_ Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Next month as in August 2017? Wow that is so cheap! Did you contact them directly or are you going through an agency? I contacted both K-Doctors and DocFinder Korea and Banobagi quoted me 12 mil for v-line, 9.46 mil for revision double eyelid with ptsosis correction and FACELINE quoted me 19 mil for V-line and 4 mil for double eyelid revision. I contacted The Face Dental today so we will see their quotes but I don't understand how it is so vastly different? I don't think my face shape is that difficult...
