upintheair Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 I'm very interested in getting zygoma & jaw reduction (possibly genioplasty). However, I'm extremely SCARED of the possible complications afterwards...permanent nerve damage, skin sagging etc. I need to make a decision soon and I'm having the most difficult time. For those of you who've had zygoma & jaw reduction, I would really appreciate if you would post your experience, the surgery center, name of the doctor and price. (photos would be a plus) Thank You!!!
jian0603 Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 I haven't done zygoma and jaw reduction but i saw ppl who did that surgery have saggy skin after 2-3 years, so they need to do facial lifting or lipo... even though doc said there won't be saggy skin. . so think carefully when you decide to do surgery which cut your bone. . .
brea-moore Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 As a person who used to work at the plastic surgery hospital, I would recommend going through zygoma and jaw reduction if you are concerned about face contouring. When the patient is going through face contouring surgery, the doctor would let the patient know all the crazy side effects that could happen which rarely happens. and as far as I saw, I think they are pretty happy with the result. So you need to think carefully! once you cut out the bone, there's no going back
sarahdomm Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 I got all 3, zygo, jaw, and chin. You need to find the right doctor and clinic. I went to View because they literally made me take a Ct scan, x ray, ekg, blood work before continuing the consultation because they wanted to see every aspect of my face and make sure surgery is safe before continuing further. My doctor was Dr. YunChang Woon and he took the time to explain what and he he was going to cut and take action on the bone. I really like that he showed where he was going to do it and the nerve sensory locations that would not be touched. I was concerned about saggy skin so I mentioned it to him, he said it's a good time to get the surgery at my age (23) b.c I won't have saggy skin but I insisted on acuulifting and thread lifting along with my facial contouring, just to be safe. It's my 5 day of recovery and I am loving the results. I had Arnold Schwarzeneggers jaw and I am actually see the results I wanted even with the swelling.
