Anyone knows about plastic surgery in Japan ?

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately I think the short answer is no. And these are the most well know / famous / advertised clinics. They both have many offices in Japan with main branch in Shinjuku (Tokyo). For the latter I went to one of their branch offices in Shibuya and they definitely required me to communicate in Japanese (made it clear when I booked consultation on the phone that they won't accept otherwise). However maybe their main office is different though given that they have an English (and Chinese) version of their website. (English here: http://www.s-b-c.net/eng/)

So maybe it won't hurt to double check!

I am in Japan so I can share what I know so far. In general, the price of cosmetic surgery in Japan is higher than that in Korea, especially regarding the rearranging bone structure such as the reduction of mandible angles and zygomatic bones. I list some clinics which are capable of non-Japanese speakers.

Verite Clinic (https://www.veriteclinic.or.jp/) is famous for making the western-looking face from the eastern face, focusing on the difference of the hight of forehead and nasal root. I guess Verite Clinic has English and Chinese translators.

Takasu Clinic (https://www.takasu.co.jp/) which is the most popular cosmetic surgery clinic in Japan. Takasu clinic has English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Portuguese translators. Takasu Clinic focuses on very natural changes so you cannot expect drastic changes such that you see in Korean cosmetic surgeries.

You must avoid Syounan beauty clinic (http://www.s-b-c.net/) and Shingawa beauty clinic (https://www.shinagawa.com/). They have lawsuits filed by many patients and use unexperienced surgeons.

Hello! I have been following this surgeon on instagram by the handle of shigeyuki.honma and he’s from SBC. His b&a looks really good though. His eye surgeries looked really natural after 1 month.

May I ask if anyone has experience doing eyes and nose surgeries in Japan? Korean pricing seems to be very high up.

I'm actually try to find more information about plastic surgery in Japan.. I need to do revision surgery for my lower eyelid and nose. I have booked for a consultation with several clinic in SK, but somehow I really wish that I can find it in Japan. I'm a southeast asian, and my feature is more like japanese mixed, with natural double eyelid: a little bit droopy though, and my nose bridge is already high, but the nasal/ tip is a bit wide. the doctor who did my primary surgery think that I want a bigger eyes, so he did cutting too much skin on my upper eyelid, and open the outer corner of my lower eyelid which makes the lower eyelid skin become loose, and now I have ectropion and uneven eyelid., there's also gap between my upper and lower eyelid . all I want to do now is making my eyes smaller T__T.

I also like japanese type of nose, like shinoda mariko, Inoue Mao, horikita maki.. their nose in a bit longer compared to Korean style which I think too short for me ..

if anyone ever had plastic surgery in Japan, please share with me ...............................................

Hi Momoc, I'm interested in doing double eyelid surgery in japan and am looking at the two clinics you mentioned. Not sure if you still use this forum or not but would appreciate the help.

Hi yes I'm still around! Feel free to PM me for questions - but be warned I've not been in Japan for some years now so I don't know if anything has changed.

I would say that the important thing is firstly you or at least a good friend who can accompany you need to speak Japanese, unlike Korea they don't have a whole industry that takes care of foreigners and may even just refuse you if you can't speak Japanese (don't know if this has changed). Secondly the price you see on the websites they list is their price, unlike Korea where you only get a quote once you go in & reportedly they rip off foreigners and give much higher prices. It's all just price as advertised on websites in Japan. Finally double eyelid is IMO a very minor procedure and you should be just fine if you decide on it with either of the clinics which are both quite big and famous in Japan! Good luck!
