GNG Grand or Asan Medical Center-Dr.Jang

Recommended Posts

Hi all,
I am interested to have rhinoplasty at GNG, Grand, Asan Medical Group - Dr.Jang. I don't mean to destroy any hospital's reputation, but just want to find a very reliable and respectful hospital with low infection rate: it's impossible to have Zero infection accident. However, I have experienced very bad rhino and it has destroyed my life since then cause I can barely breath, mostly need to breath through mouth. My friend also got infected from another clinic in Seoul. Now we're researching a lot, in order to prevent the same very bad situation.

Have anyone undergo rhino at GNG, Grand, Asan Medical Group? Please share your good and bad experience!

I heard that Grand is being sued for having ghost doctor and they will close their hospital soon. Is that true? Heard that someone died long time ago and it hasn't happened since then. However I still see many good review from Grand, and I am very interested in this hospital. Can anyone give me the truth and information, would be very appreciated!

I am also considering GNG. Their site seems pretty good. They don't have bad review right? Any thought? just ask, cause I may choose this one. Please also share good review.

The last hospital is Asan Medical Group. I heard that Professor Jang Yong Ju is quite famous aboard. However, some of my friend told that he no longer perform any surgery, because of his age?, just teaching now. Is that true? Anyone had rhino with him please share your result and experience.

Thank you so much.

Another question is from my AsianCanadian friend, since it is very serious issue, hope anyone in this forum can help. She had rhinoplasty last month, however after three weeks post op her nose was bleeding and yellow fluid coming out. So she went back for doctor to check and he decided to remove implant. Can she have a revision right now at GNG? OR do she need to wait at least six months. Thanks a lot.

I think its not good to do rivision right now since she had bleeding, and it just has been a month after surgery. better to have some time to recover and then do revision. . for better result

Don't know if Grand is really going to close down but the criminal proceedings for fraud/ghost surgery and suspension of a few of its doctors by Korea's PS society are true. Many newspapers have reported it and if it was untrue they would have been sued and forced to retract the articles long ago. The death of the teenage girl at Grand is also true, it happened around 2013-2014, she was only having eyelid surgery and rhino but they gave her too much anaesthetic supposedly to hide the ghost surgery and she slipped into a coma and died. It was this incident that triggered the investigations into Grand and led to the criminal prosecution. Personally I won't go there as so many people working in and running the clinic must have been complicit for ghost surgery to have taken place there for so long. Who knows if they are still there and if things have really changed. There is also this bad experience from a forumer I bookmarked:
# It is up to you though, people probably still go there and some have good results. Good luck for your revision:smile:

@SandyMaxwell, how do you about Dr. Jang of Asan Medical Centre? Do you know anyone who had surgery with him? I also heard that he is very good at revision rhinoplasty but don't know anyone who had surgery there so I am still reseaching....

Same here. I haven't seen any review. Have you found one? My cousin is doctor, non-plastic surgeon, he said that his friend studied with Dr. Jang before. That's all I heard. And I also saw that he had rhinoplasty textbook in Amazon website.

I am also considering ID, Grand, GNG, DA, Hanabi, AMC medical center, Yonsei Severance Gangnam, Severance hospital, Seoul National University hospital. But I really don't know which one is the best here. Any thought?

OMG!! I'll definitely not go Grand! People are not easily changed!

Because of these issues, Grand is out of my list. ..

For those who want to see more reviews from GNG. There is one girl in this blog just pm me this link, she claimed that these are from GNG. I am not sure cause I am unable to read their language, tried to use google translate, but it's quite hard to understand..

Are you able to ask your cousin to ask his friend then? I guess if he studied with Dr.Jang before, he must know a lot about him. My Korea friend told me that some of the top and experienced doctors actually don't work at clinics but University Hospitals because they are not into this PS industry. They can fix more difficult cases and seem to be more ethical, but the only way to know about them is consulting with them in person because it is difficult to find reviews about them online.
