Hello everyone! so I'm actually interested in this procedure, but after reading up on how it's done and what they use (osteobond aka bone cement) I feel a bit worried about the side effects, after all we all heard stories of people who did not respond well to foreign substances, the immune system fights it. and this is why I made this thread - to clear my doubts, I'd like to know if anyone actually did this, did you see any side effect over the years? does it bother you? can this procedure be done without surgery and general anesthesia? fillers for example? last, but not least, which clinics do you recommend if any?

a friend of mine had surgery on top of the head more than 5years ago and she has a side effect of pinching or poking sensation from time to time. So you should condiser the surgery very carefully.

I'm going to answer your question about jaw surgery. The doctor broke my jaw to fix my over bite. Only thing that sucked for me was not being able to eat. If people did research before going to a doctor. Everything will go off as plan.

I agree. I'm also interested in this surgery and I would rather pay more and do it with an experienced head surgeon.

There are millions of doctors in America, maybe you just gotta find one you like and trust  Look all around the country not just near you. If you don't mind travelling to Korea, I'm sure you don't mind going to other states. Also, it might be better to pay more for an experienced American doctor than inexperienced Korean. Just because they're Korean doesn't automatically make them more skilled. Not to mention head augmentation is more of a western surgery than Asian.

@Mintwrisr I was researching this procedure, and looked into the Dr. Eppley that you mentioned- it seems he has many botched job reviews and I wouldn't trust him.

The problem with the US doctors is that there really aren't enough ps surgeons. Compared to Korea where thousands of doctors and clinics are constantly competing and refining their techniques, doctors here are sparse and don't perform procedures often, so many of their patients act as "guinea pigs" for their surgery techniques.

At least, this was my experience researching ps surgeons and trying to do consultations in the US for the past few months.

Eppley doesn't have a good standing here in America. He caused a woman to commit suicide after screwing up her facelift. And he's gotten a lot of complaints. And he was insane enough to perform rib removal surgery.

Anyway, doesn't Dr Chung Woo Jin do this procedure in ITEM? Anyone know how good he is?
