Thought this will be interesting for those researching clinics. The Korean government recently reviewed en renewed the licenses of medical institutions that allows them to officially treat foreigners.

Apparently it is a lot less now from 2000+ clinics & hospitals in 2016 to just over 1500 this year. Good sign they are getting stricter I suppose.

Is there any way we can have a look into enlisted clinics and hospitals that acquired the license? Also, if something goes wrong #knockwood where can foreigners file complaints to?

Sure you can, just go to www.visitmedicalkorea.com and there is a tab registered providers where you can check the clinics with this license. In our research we found that you can contact the Korean Consumer Protection Agency in case you have issues with a clinic that you cannot solve. There is a even a foreigner line you can call

Thank you! I have checked the list,so sad to see few hospitals with death cases in it still make it to the list.. Anyway i am glad that few hospitals and clinics i am interested with carry the license!

Does it mean only people who went to the hospital on the list would get be able to sue or file a report from *botched*jobs? I'm only asking because my heart goes to all the girls (and guys) who did surgery in Korea and get failed procedure.. It's just heartbreaking. I know i haven't done any surgery in Korea myself, but you know.. Just for precautions.
