333soul Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Hello everyone, its my first post here and im not an english native speaker so bear with me 1. consultation I had my first consultation with gng in august 2017. Prior to that i messaged a few times with hazel on kkt. She is one of the translators at gng and will help you throughout your whole experience. I had a lot of questions that i wrote down in a small notebook and that i brought with me for consultation. When i talked to the doctor i made sure all my questions were answered by him so i wont regret later. Dr. Seong who is a rhino specialist at gng welcomed me warmly and was very kind. He patiently answered all my questions and listened to me in detail what i would like to change about my nose shape. On his computerscreen he drew different bridge heights that were possible in my case. I went for curved and more natural shape and for a more defined tip. Since i had a good feeling about the consultation and Dr. Seong i payed the deposit on the same day and was booked for surgery two days later. On the next day i got my health examination and before pictures done. Hazel will stay by your side the whole process in case smth. is unclear. She was so helpful and will make your experience so much more comfortable. Sometimes she wasn't available but gng made sure someone will be there for me. Julia who accompanied me when hazel wasnt there was such an angel and works there also as an translator. 2. surgery On the surgery day you will get access to your room where you stay for one night. Hazel and julia waited outiside for me to get change into my surgery attire. After that i had final consultation with dr. Seong and he marked me up with a pen. And then you get to a room where you have to lay down. About 5 nurses or assistants will prep you for surgery. Thats also when you will see the anesthesiologist for the first and last time. She asked me a few questions. I was so scared and anxious the whole time but i fell asleep very fast and woke up very drousy and tired. In my case i was very tired they let me sleep some more since i couldnt managed to wake up. After i got enough strength back i went to my private room and rested there. When i looked at the time it took about 3 hours. I had no pain right after. My mouth was just very dry but the nurse told me to wait 2 hours before getting any liquids in my body. After i drank i felt the pain kicking in. It wasnt too bad after i got my pain shots i had no pain at all. I stayed for the night and went home/airbnb the next morning. 3. after care Gng gave me a bag which contains medication, pumpkin juice, cold pack etc. that helps you with deswelling. The next two days i swelled up a lot and also had to deal with pain (morning: 8 / evening: 9 / afternoon 10 out of 10) I really felt bad and depressed but on day 3 where i got my fillings out (ouch! i will never forget that feeling) everything got better. I was able to walk much more outside and felt the swelling got slowly down. The next few days i was at gng for deswelling LED and oxygen treatments. After 7 days i got my stitches out, got my cast off and took after pictures. Dr Seong which i saw for the last and final time was a bit surprised why i was still swollen around my nose area. There was a blood bump on my nose bridge that he then removed with a shot. The results were very natural and my side profile improved a lot. Im very happy to finally went for a nosejob since i contemplated for so long. Let me know if you have any questions. i will try to update every few months. I hope i can help you guys with my review
archonei Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Hi 333soul thanks for sharing your experience! Uh.. Your pain scale is scary.. Is it that bad did you consult other place before you decided with GNG? If you did can i know where? Also how much did you pay for your surgery if you willing to disclose it? Hope you recover well please update!
333soul Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 it was tolerable. it was my first surgery that i ever had in my lifetime so maybe i was a bit surprised by the pain level. i hope i didn't scare anyone. i remember the most pain i had on the 2nd/3rd day after that you will get much better. as a tip i would research a lot beforehand and maybe try to visit 3-5 clinics. at least 2. since my time schedule was tight i only talked to 2 clinics. one was april31 and the other GNG. Since i felt more comfortable with GNG at consultation i went with them. there are different procedures, techniques, materials that can be used for rhino so for everyone it will be a different price. i got quoted 4,5 million to 6 million won. i would definitely negotiate thank you im almost 2 month now and my nose shape changes a lot but im healing well
fried-hip Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 i really wanna get my nose done there what did you do for negotiating! any recommendations?!
