littlepigeon Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Just looking for some cosmetic facial changes, not too major (chin augmentation, rhino and eyelid). But I'm concerned that Korea won't be very friendly about trans/transgender people and I don't know where to find information. Does anyone know? Thank you.
sarahdomm Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Not hard at all, you will be fine ((: the clinic I went to, View Clinic actually performs procedures for a lot of transgender patients. Most clinics in Korea actually worked on transgender patients. Don't worry about stigma, you should be worried about finding the best clinic hahaha Good luck!
k-couture Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 i think he means female to male. Male to female is quite easy because facial feminization is a form of facial contouring and korean surgeons do it very often. But facial masculinazation (i think thats the term for it???) surgery involves the opposite: augmentating and defining the feminine face. Korea is not the place for that kind of surgery. I think Thailand or the states would be good for it. Thailand because there's so many gender surgeons and US because caucasian features typically does not require reduction bone surgery, it requires augmentation. Back when i was researching how to fix reverse botched mandible reduction (too much bone was removed) I did in Yanhee Bangkok (/spit -_-) I came across a surgeon in the states who does jaw implants for male patients with a weak jawline. There are risks to it tho so you might want to do some research on the procedure. But yeah Korean surgeons do not have as much experience in this type of surgery as the western surgeons. Its best to go to places where they have more specialization.
littlepigeon Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Thank you! Can you comment on how risky PS in Thailand is and the best ways/places to do research? I haven't done as much research in it compared to Korean PS. I was originally thinking about Korea instead of the US because I felt my face looked unbalanced even on a feminine face. But you're right that I'm looking for augmentation type work instead of reduction
k-couture Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I would do a search on facial masculinzation procedures and find out who the big names are. And ask within the FtM community. Purse probably isnt the place to find such information as forums which service the FtM community would be exactly what you are looking for.
littlepigeon Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Got it, thank you. Do you know of any good websites where I could learn more about PS in Thailand in general? I haven't found too many people in the trans community who are knowledgeable about Asian/cosmetic PS.
k-couture Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I think Thai PS is harder to find info on. But i'm sure forums for trans community who talk about transitioning will have lots of information since grs srs ffs and fms is a big part of the journey for trans people. I don't know much about it tho so I can't direct you elsewhere sorry. I have a thai friend who I do not know what she identifies as lol....He (using the right pronoun) says he is a tom boy/lesbian but he takes male hormones and had his breast removed. To me that's a trans man but he identifies as a lesbian and wants us to refer to him as a he. Its confusing for me hahaha but apparently in thailand there's 13 different genders???? Thats what I heard haha. Anyways I'll ask him where he went in Thailand for his surgery and pm you so you can do some research on it
