Hey everybody! This is my first post ^~^
I don't have a lot of information about this surgery but this is what I know so far.
1. It is the shaving of the chin rather than the jaw to create a V-line effect.
2. Wannabe claims to be the first clinic to introduce this method, but I'm wondering if other clinics have mastered this beyond that of Wannabe?
3. Mini V-line is suppose to be cheaper, but I have not found any quoted prices. I will start asking around to different clinics.

See, I don't know a lot xD I am considering getting a mini V-line with a mini V-lift to create the effect that I want because I do not want to shave my jaw! If you know anything about this please let me know! Thank you

This is more for people who don't need a jaw reduction, only chin. Like if someone already had a small jawline and a U shaped chin then I think mini v-line would be more appropriate.
I would take a pic of yourself and just edit only your chin to see how you like it.

Yeah I've definitely done that before and it looks a lot better! Even though I would look better with my jaw shaved a bit too, I'm not super insecure about that. Have you heard of any places that are known for this surgery or various prices? I just want a more slender and shorter chin!

I am also interested in mini v since I will be doing revision rhino in march. I figured I would do my chin with it. I was considering sliding genio at first, but the online consultant recommended me mini V instead since i have a rather wide, broad chin - which i agree, actually. And I think i have read somewhere that wannabe was the first, or one of the first, to come up with the name itself, but the surgery itself is nothing new at all.

Hi @Hoeeekage , I got mini v-line done at Regen! There are a lot of different methods, and I think the best way to know which method will suit you and the results you want is to consult with a doctor who understands bone and muscle structure well.

I think they consider mini v-line to be any chin surgery that
-involves more than one cut (standard sliding genioplasty)
-but doesn't require cutting the mandible/back jaw (full v-line)

There are methods such as t-osteotomy, v-osteotomy, and even bone grafting that i've heard of clinics using. I've only consulted a few clinics for their prices, so if you need any info you can feel free to message me!

Are you not wanting to reduce the jaw because of appearance or because of recovery/pain? If your ideal look only needs the chin reduced/changed then mini v line could work, as it is essentially a type of genioplasty from what I understand. But I am not sure if the pain/recovery is much less than full v line overall, maybe for the first couple days.
