yahyahh Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Hey everyone! I am overall happy with my face besides my chin. It protrudes from the side, making my profile look weird. I currently live in Korea, and am very set on sliding genioplasty for chin reduction. So far I have consulted online with The Face Dental and I was quoted 5.5 million won. He also agreed that my face would benefit largely from sliding genioplasty alone. I am looking for suggestions for clinics and doctors for sliding genioplasty. (It has been several years since a post like this was made, so I am looking for updated information!) Also, if you have had sliding genioplasty, what was your experience? How is the recovery time?
peri-winkle Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Hi @yahyahh, I was actually thinking about sliding genioplasty for a long time, and finally went to Korea about a month ago (you can read the review on my surgery). When I went for in person consultations at Regen and GNG, they both recommended mini-vline instead, basically to make the bottom of my jaw sharper I guess. Overall im happy with the results. Its not perfect but the recovery was alright (took 2 weeks to look/eat/speak pretty much normally again) and I've talked to a few people who actually got chin surgery with TFD or EU Dental and had pretty good results! I think TFD is fine especially since it seems lower in cost than some of the bigger clinics, and they specialize in chin/jaw surgeries.
