Hello
So I just got my surgeries two weeks ago and just wanted to share my experience with you since this forum helped me a lot when I was looking for info on PS in SK.
Because I'm Asian I just thought it would be better to go to an Asian country where doctors have a lot of experience with Asian patients. And even though Thailand is muuuch cheaper, you don't want to screw up your face and get expensive revision surgeries.. not saying every clinic in Thailand is bad but there are so many botched surgeries reviews that it definitely scared me.
So I started searching for clinics and surgeries and risks. For reviews RealSelf and PurseForum are both great websites. (Btw if you want really good detailed reviews or explaination on this forum, I recommand Kcouture's threads, they're great!).
So I had a few clinics in mind like Dream, Ruby, Face Dental and April31. I really wanted to go with april31 because I like how natural their results are and their rhino doctor (Dc. Kim) is really famous. But I read (on PF) that they were really expensive so I thought I should choose another clinic... Also as a foreigner and if you're not good with bargaining, you'll definitely get charged a lot here in Korea.
I looked on google how to bargain, get better prices and I ended up on Misooda, a medical tourism agency like Docfinder but their main purpose is to help people bargain and get good prices. So I contacted them to get a quote from April31 (which was initially my first choice but I was concerned about the price...) and I'm glad I did!!! They got me such a good discount I wonder why no one raves about it here?? I was in touch with their staff for 4 months before going to SK and they asked the clinic to get me airport pick up and they helped me book a guesthouse (girl. they even got me a discounted price for the guesthouse. *•*). They really took care of everything and all I had to do was booking the flight :P
So when I arrived in SK the clinic's diver was waiting for me and took me to the guesthouse.
The next day was my appointment and i was excited and a little anxious. The clinic has a specialized doctor in each field and that's definitely important, don't choose a clinic that has one or two doctors doing lots of different procedures! Some clinics in SK even have general doctors or dentists do the surgeries on patients so be very careful
So I met with doctor Kim for rhino, doctor Park for jaw and doctor Jae for breast and I really felt like I could trust them. They took the time to answer my questions and explained exactly what they where going to do, and what surgeries I wouldn't need. All of them speak a little English and they have in house translators that are super friendly!
(If you ever read about this clinic, you probably know about Brian, he's really warm and funny and he actually cares about his patients. But nobody ever mentions Henry and Alex?? (The other two English translators. I think there's only three of them?) They're very nice too! I feel sad that no one talks about them haha Anyways back to the review~)
First was doctor Jae, the breast specialist. I got changed in a robe and they took a video of my breast, which ends up in 3D in a program they have that tells you your actual CC and what it would look like with each implant and each CC. Doctor Jae asked me what I wanted (in cup size) and we both agreed on an implant brand, size, incision method and profile. It was really exciting to see my future breast in 3D haha
Then I met with Doctor Park for the jaw surgeries, again we both looked at the 3D CT scan and we talked about what I wanted, what he thinks would be good and what wouldn't be necessary. I told him I wanted a very natural line, i just wanted my face to be less of a square and he told me not to worry because they don't cut the bone in the straight line (which makes the face look like a super slim egg) because it's old fashioned and unnatural. The face needs an angle somewhere to make a natural jaw and not an alien face right haha and he told me that's what he'll do.
Finally I met with Doctor Kim, who was really professional and could immediately tell what needed to be done on my nose when I told him my concerns. During the consultation he looked at the 3D scan and showed me that my nose was slightly deviated and that he could correct it. He also showed me how my nose would look like from the side after the surgery. He asked me if I liked it or if I wanted it lower or higher, straighter or curvier. I liked how he really focused on what I wanted. Another tip : gtfo of a clinic if the consultation is rushed because there's a possibility that the doctor might rush the surgery too and it might go wrong.
Fast forward to surgery day, I was kind of nervous, which is normal because it's not everyday that you get general anesthesia and surgeries right? Brian was by my side and he talked with me to ease my stress. He made silly jokes too haha and I felt better and don't even remember when I fell asleep
When I woke up I didn't feel any pain (for real!!), just major discomfort, mostly because I couldn't breath through my nose and my throat was sooo dry
All three doctors came to check on me the following day to see how I was doing and I also got check ups twice a week after that
During the recovery i still didn't feel pain and I didn't get bruising around the eyes like people normally do after rhino... I started wondering if I was dying because I thought I'd be in unbearable pain haha but nope I'm still alive and fine :P
And the swelling went down quite fast. After 5days I could chew almost normally and after 8 days the swelling went down so much and I looooved how my jaw looked. My mum said my surgeons must be very skillful because i didn't look like someone that has just gotten surgery. But keep in mind that pain and swelling/healing varies for each person so maybe I'm just one of those that heal fast like sunnydahye? If that's the case I'm so thankful for that T_T
Sorry for the very messy review haha if you have any questions I'd be glad to help!!

So in other words :
-Do your homework beforehand, plastic surgery is not something you should take lightly, DO YOUR RESEARCH
-Don't go alone, its difficult and it's really really boring, especially if you're staying for long and it's winter
-Choose a clinic with SPECIALIZED doctors that you can TRUST and that care about what YOU WANT, and not only THEIR standards of beauty
-DON'T rush your consultation, take your time, explain exactly what you want and what you don't, and ASK questions
-Be absolutely certain about what you want to do, most surgeries, if not all, are irreversible. Keep that in mind.
-If you want good prices, definitely check out Misooda. They're friendly, really good at bargaining and getting you great prices and they help you with a lot of stuff like accomodation, transport, translation... they saved my butt
-I do love how I look now and I really recommand April31 for natural looking results. They're expensive but this is your face and body, you shouldn't go cheap and risk getting botched results.

Thank you for your review and advices. I went to Sk 4 years ago for my rhino and fat grafting. I ended up with Dream..one of the reason was Dr. Kim at April 31 wasn't in town when I came for a consultant and I didn't want to wait 3 days since ..Now I regretted cuz I'm not happy with my result. April 31 is my #1 on my list of the clinics. Could you send me your b&a photo of your nose ? Thank you. And where is the incision for your BA ?

Hi CuteTurtle!! Your review made me feel so much better, and I'm looking into Misooda. Where did you hear about using a Medical Tourism company instead of just doing it all yourself? And could you share your before and afters with me too?
