jesschlo27
Hi, I'll be going to Korea in June, but I'm wondering how many days I should stay there? The only surgery I plan on getting is double eyelid surgery. At this point, I am unsure as to which kind (as I know recovery times may differ depending on type). What's the timeline like? How long did it take for you to actually get the surgery after the consultation? Do you get the surgery within a few days or is it a longer more complex process? Would 2 weeks be enough time for DES? qt_qq13
@jesschlo27 I stayed 8 days for DES i think it was the perfect amount of days. I did surgery the day after i landed and stitches out 1 day before my flight back.
jesschlo27
Thanks for your reply? What kind of DES did you get and which clinic? Did you choose the clinic beforehand?
Wondermuffin
Hi, I’m also doing my DES in June. Keep note that clinics are usually closed on Sunday, so plan your flight accordingly. I booked for 9 nights and 10 days. So I intend to do consults on Fri, surgery on Fri/Sat, stitches out on the next sat, and fly off on next sun. If you want to do the surgery on the day you arrive, make sure you don’t eat anything on the plane or at least 8 hours before. Besides DES, I will be getting ptosis correction (sleepy eyes syndrome), lateral and lower canthoplasty. Decided against epicanthoplasty as my eyes are close enough, and the ptosis will lift my eyelid. For DES alone, stitches must be in for 5-7 days. But for cantho, it’s 7 days. I’m still not sure about the clinic I chose. I want big dolly eyes with a 7mm crease, but MVP only does natural/Low creases. Also considering ITEM and Opera. what about you? qq12
Normally stitches will be removed on post-op 7! Good luck
lemmetellu
You should stay at least 8-9 days in my opinion, because unless you already choose a clinic beforehand, you're probably going to get the surgery the next day at the earliest. Then you will have to get stitches out/post-op check-up around a week after the surgery. It is best to have some leeway in your time spent in Korea.
